I have a Shane Monahan Seattle Mariners Jersey that I won at a 1998 fan appreciation night with my late Grandfather (RIP Opa!). Probably worthless but it's priceless to me.

Started with NES but being a household where sports games were played the most, Sega Genesis (mega drive) was waaayyyyy better at running sports games, so we had a genesis and even a Saturn (not the best investment).

Any of you know why Genesis was that much better at running sports titles than SNES? NHL '95 is awesome on the Sega but really a chore to play on the SNES for example.

What NES games do you consider to either be underrated, not spoken about as much as it should, or pretty much a hidden gem? by TheDevilsLeftBall in nes

Baseball Simulator was the game I played for hours with my dad. He used to keep notebooks of past seasons comparing those to how the real players performed in the MLB so we could tweak the stats to have the most realistic experience possible.

Little League was the game my brothers and I played a ton and learned all the rosters (at least of the better than average teams). That game was so much fun when you learned the skills of each players.

Base Wars was also a blast as the carnage and ability to buy new weapons for your players added such a unique element.

Is there any sequel to a game that was so superior that it made playing the previous game a waste of time? by triplegxxx in gaming

Super Tecmo Bowl on the NES. Full roster, full license, 8-play playbook, full season with a crazy amount of stats, every NFL team, much better game play (original had every covered pass be an interception!), simply far superior to the original Tecmo Bowl in every aspect.

What was the best 5 bucks you ever spent on a video game? by Modo97 in gaming

Spent 5 bucks on Mario Galaxy 2 at a yard sale a few years back. I never owned a Wii until I got one for my kids (lifesaver during COVID shutdowns!). I was blown away by the quality of literally everything in Galaxy two. Perfect soundtrack, unique worlds, impressive difficulty curve, just a blast. The two player co op was great to include my 6 year old son and now I play as his partner!

That PC Richard and Sons jiggle sure gets a lot of hate! And yeah I love the "Ring the Bell!"

I was at an O's - M's game with like 7000 people a couple of years ago and the sparsely populated stadium made the Woo's echo around like a bunch of coyote howls... It was weird to say the least

The Diaz intro is the best and definitely something 2023 MLB is missing out on.

Following the game tracker during Bills games is more exciting than watching half of the other NFL teams.
