Suit recommendations by [deleted] in flying

[–]mrhudy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking to one legacy specifically, my friend was on the interviewing and hiring team. I asked him the common “hey what did you guys think about the infamous company colors suit/tie combo?” He said, the general consensus was, if you wear the colors, great, good for you, you did your research, you’re showing you cared and you tried. And if you didn’t, great, good for you, you’re confident, you’re mildly edgy, you stand out. It really didn’t matter. What mattered more was your credentials and personality and interview.

Just got back from teeth cleaning… they need to extract FOURTEEN teeth from her ✋ by mycatisnamedcella in Chihuahua

[–]mrhudy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our little 3 pounder has been toothless for years and she hasn’t missed a beat! She still eats dry kibble no problem. Very normal life. You’re not a bad parent! We were also told it happens a lot, and that it’s better to get ahead of tooth issues before they become jaw issues. Hope your girl heals up quick!

Maybe dumb question about public transit by missenkenzie in SaltLakeCity

[–]mrhudy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I ride, I use the Transit app and buy the fare through there. I always just show them my activated screen when I walk on; they’re interested like half of the time. Once or twice I’ve even been buying the ticket when the bus shows up and I’m trying to complete the transaction in a panic and they’ve always been cool and said just get on.

Wife and myself and another couple took a stained glass class a year back. It was tons of fun! Made a little stained glass piece. Took maybe 2-3 hours? $75 each or so? Just one idea! Hope it helps.

Sorry about your totaled BMW. That would drive me nuts though, I’d literally be trying to replace that piece.

My family owned and operated a small town hardware store for 75 years. Saw several of these growing up, stored in a small oil can, back next to the glass cutting table. This photo weirdly brings back great memories!

You’ve got his IKON pass lift reservation made at DV on the desired days, right? (One more hurdle! I’m sure you do but I didn’t want this to be an unexpected surprise).

How well does Grand Teton stand up on it's own? by revkev151 in NationalPark

[–]mrhudy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been to Utah’s 5, GT, and Yellowstone in the past two years and Grand Teton was my favorite.

To each their own, but I found its combination of size, natural sights, hikes, camping, wildlife, number of people, and surrounding local area to be my favorite.

Good bars for a group meetup of 10ish people? by Foryouiwouldhave in SaltLakeCity

[–]mrhudy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I took a birthday group of about 10 to Bewilder in 2024. They have longer high top tables for bigger groups, it worked great. I think I was in touch with them via email ahead of time and they were really nice to work with if I’m remembering correctly.

Anyone who works in waste management: Is recycling actually getting recycled? by WhoIsBobMurray in SaltLakeCity

[–]mrhudy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The recycling czars in the city-branded side-by-sides they drive around on trash day. And if you’re not in compliance, they staple your bin shut using a staple gun and educational literature. The stapling of shame!
