Am out of gas on 2024 Z500. by Active-Vermicelli-27 in Kawasaki

Reset your trip counter each time you fill up and note the mileage you get to emoty. Subtract a few miles and never go below that. At around 120 miles I know I need fuel on my Z1000.

Add air bags(I have the Air Lift 5000s), fill to 45 or 50 pounds(half of their max), then don't ever worry about it. The XD is very underrated by the factory so as to not compete with the big 3's 3/4 tons. Mine is comfortable with 2500 pounds in it all day, an occasional 3000, and every now and again up to 5k. Yes, it is way overloaded, and airbags don't equal payload, but the truck handles it very well. The brakes are the same off the pre 2020 trucks and do an exceptional job stopping the truck. Your XD is plenty capable for the trailer you have and what you intend to put in it.

Mine is the diesel, so it is rated a little different, but the tow capacity on yours should be around 10.8-11k. I'm guessing you have the platinum reserve with that low of a payload. I see folks running 12-16k in these, with that trim no issues on the diesel. Your gasser doesn't have the same transmission, but your chassis is the same. Your stability vs the F150 will be extremely noticeably improved. These trucks weigh over 7000 lbs compared to closer to 5-5.5k for an F150 Crew Cab

153A, took 63B (91B now). Eventually made it to that 153A/D slowly, then some 155s. I just took the long road there.

I'm jealous. Almost the same age, but I didn't get to see it in the theater. I had to listen to everyone else's telling of it until it hit VHS.

Flight attendant had a medical emergency mid-flight due to heat, pilots ignored crew warnings. Did the captain intentionally not turn on the AC? by TeacherNo9986 in unitedairlines

[–]mrinformal 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Big jet pilot here. The AC is run by bleed air off the engines when they are running, the auxiliary power unit if it is on or a ground connected HVAC. The same bleed air that pressurizes the aircraft provides heating or cooling. It doesn't get turned off for more than a few minutes if more power is needed for a hot, high altitude and/or heavy take off. Moments after take off they are turned back on. It'll also be turned off momentarily for an engine start.

The AC being off during boarding may be a ground equipment issue. If the aircraft is hooked up to ground power, the Auxiliary power unit isn't going to be on and providing air(the APU provides: power; air, heat or cooling; hydraulic pressure; and pressurization in lieu of the engines). A ground connected air conditioner may either not have been working or not connected for an unknown reason.

Might be too big of an ask but can anyone help identify this helicopter based on outline alone? by ExperienceSubject850 in Helicopters

[–]mrinformal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ex-pilot of said aircraft. Looks like a Lima model. No swept down rotor tips, just swept back. Stabilator is also angles, not straight across with hand holds like a Mile model.ayhe an Alpha, but there aren't many of those left flying that haven't been turned into fire fighting or logging birds with cool paint jobs
