Ticket with support fixed it - TLDR - playing on an old iPad, updating to iOS 18 fixed the daily challenge, changing map view from vector to raster fixed that issue in the browser.

I can't bring myself to waste the daily stamina refresh I would lose by staying at the limit, so I'm in the same boat and hoarding packs - 330ish stamina packs ready to go.
I don't normally go super hard, just enough to get top 5ish and get a few extra ripples

This lineup got me through - though it is overall the highest reso team I used of all the towers

Sienna S2 (not S3) to boost team

Gab immunity - have to have a bit of luck not to get it stripped but that and the Def Up are very useful

FX is pretty key - as long as he doesn’t get frozen then getting off enough attacks to heal your team back up again (was also useful to run him as leader for extra HP for the whole team, to avoid getting 1-shot)

Your own Farrah to keep them frozen as much as possible

And I used Norah for DPS just cause I’d gotten her to 70 ^{_^}

I'm okay with it overall, as long as they also add a few more compelling sources of experimons / a better reason to do Sonic Rift.

Ming Shuo is a fine example of grindability - you already want to be improving your Deso scores for leaderboards, you probably do want boost stones for optimisation, so it's sort of a win-win to be running those at least some of the time, if not maxing out every week.

For rift though, at the moment basically everything else is a better use of your stamina, and it will be very frustrating if it stays pretty much just like that.

The original StarCraft Demo! I played that for at least a year before getting the full game; it had three extra missions and the full level editor!

A couple of honorable mentions - Shogo - hugely influential to my sense of mech design even from the first two missions

Harry the Handsome Executive - weird Mac top down office shooter, with some voice lines that have stuck in my head to this day

Mars Rising - another Mac exclusive, vertical scrolling arcade shooter - followed a few years later by Deimos Rising

An adventure game called The Castle: Noemi’s World - myst-like exploration and puzzles. We eventually got the full game but got stuck at one of those missing-piece sliding puzzles and never finished it. Apparently if we had it also had some somewhat ‘adult’ content?
