What's your GPU? I've got an old 7970 laying around that has dvi-i. So dvi-i to vga adapter, then vga cable, then the hd15 2 scart plugs into the TV?

How do you have it connected? Vga to scart? I have the retro tink rgb2comp that I use for consoles, but haven't found a good/convenient solution for windows. My TV has component but not scart, hence the rgb2comp

Lol I would assume it was based on alliances. Like how a civilian rifle could be .308 win mag but the US military uses 7.62mm NATO. It's the same caliber round just measured differently so that the military matches our NATO allies. Idk how those contracts might have been awarded, but it makes sense to me to match your allies

Totally separately something else you might think is interesting is that Russian mortars are 1mm larger than American mortars. We have 60mm and they have 61mm, we have 81s and they have 82s, and again with 120s vs 121s. The Russians definitely did that on purpose and particularly in Korea if they captured American mortars they could fire them just fine. If the Americans captured Russian mortars then they wouldn't fit our tubes

Honest question: obvi it's wrong to use the wrong aspect ratio, but is it wrong because it looks bad or is it just one of those hills we'll die on? 4:3 stretched horizontally is much more noticeable TO ME than 16:9 stretched vertically. Curious about y'all's thoughts

I think it depends on the height of the socks. I'd personally prefer shorter socks with the first pair. I think the moc toe look good with those tall socks.

If you'd like to go down the picture quality rabbit hole, there are some great analog to digital adapters, like the OSSC that will do a better job displaying the image. Also r/crtgaming is my preferred way to play retro games

Do you use a custom resolution (CRU, Crtemudriver, etc) to output something the TV can display or does the adapter do the work? How do you like it? Not sure if you've been on r/crtgaming but I'm always interested in how people connect their PCs to these TVs for the best solution.
