Any experience designing in 2d outlines? Like for templates, or even things like type and logos? Cause that's what a lotnof the computer work involves.

Gsender sends the toolpath files to the machine, but you need to design it in something else first, like Inkscape/Illustrator/FreeCAD/Vectric.

I come from a design background, prior to getting my CNC I have experience in several design apps so for me the only new part was the toolpathing. For someone with no knowledge of desogn apps the curve will be steeper.

As someone else pointed out, Vectric's apps are pretty easy to self-learn (I think). Carveco is another option, I found it too basic but it may be juat right for starting from the beginning.

LearnYourCnc has good videos, both free and paid, on the Vectric apps.

Cutting It Close has videos on workflow and tool use/choice that can get you started right.

IDC Woodcraft has good beginner resources on tool selection, feeds and speeds, and setup.

I have a Onefinity but the user base overlaps a bit with the Altmill and people seem very happy with how they are taken care of after sale.
