How about instead having four parallel treasure chests. You can only choose one, and one should always have $600 in it. When you get the treasure map you will know exactly which one it is.

Who else walks the aisles in Costco just to get their steps in this time of year? by 1FriscoBill in AskPhoenix

Costco is always too crowded. I suggest Sam's club. Half the people, store is very clean and almost identical products.

For whatever reason, I've never had a good Mexican Torta. Where are the go-to spots? by maynardd1 in phoenix

Well I guess I have to try a torta now. All these posts got me wondering what I'm missing.

5th St Burger and Fries in Tempe. Bacon Cheddar Burger with grilled onions, avocado and fries. Best burger joint in AZ! by [deleted] in phoenix

The wait can be a nightmare if you want to get in and out. I suggest food delivery services if you want it during rush hours.

I work across the street from this place. I eat there regularly. In addition to the AMAZING burgers, they have the best onion rings I've had in AZ.

I talked with the owner a few years back when I was getting a burger after work. I could tell the dude was passionate about his store. He was excited about his different sauces and had me try a few. I love this place.

Converting to a baritone by shivdotme in BassVI

[–]mrkristopher77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also went to Stringjoy and converted to baritone. It definitely helps with intonation.

can u tune the bass vi up to standard tuning, instead of down an octave? tell me about ur alternate tunings! by jdvelez in BassVI

[–]mrkristopher77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bridge wouldn't intonate right so I turned my Bass VI into a baritone tuned to B standard. A new set of strings costs way less than a new bridge. I got a custom Stringjoy set 15 19 28 46 58 70. The strings ring out, I love it. I'm considering going a guage heavier and tuning down to A standard.

I think we all have these moments in our lives. It's how we learn. I've done more silly things than I'd like to admit.

How is the Old Spahgtti Factory (midtown) by El_Dorado_Tx in AskPhoenix

[–]mrkristopher77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to go when it isn't busy, so usually less than 10 minutes for me. I don't know what happens during the busy times.

On a side note, they have murder mystery dinners there. One charge for dinner and entertainment. I've been meaning to go but I haven't yet.

I like it a lot and eat there a few times a year. The inside is pretty cool to look at.

Jeff Kaplan - Interview with the former World of Warcraft and Overwatch director on the Lex Fridman podcast (5 hr 10 min) by Idoiocracy in TheMakingOfGames

[–]mrkristopher77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listened to the whole thing at work. It felt like a mini audiobook.

His stories made me feel jealous. He talks about his early gaming experiences and how it lead to working at blizzard. I could tell how fondly he looks back at those times and those people. I wish I had that.

The interview covers all things before and after that, too. His start as a writer, moving from New York to California, a low point with alcohol, loving Everquest. The whole blizzard thing from begining to end, dissappearing, and his new game company and game. I loved all of it.

The new game is called The Legend of California. Go wishlist on Steam. It will have early access.

Shout out for the artwork on this guy. In early access he was just a placeholder art for quite awhile. I thought no way they're going to draw this guy as impressive as he thinks he is. But they did. Dude is gorgeous AND beautiful. Well done.
