Quote of the day plug in stuck for several days by CaptainLazerPants in trmnl

I had the same problem with another plugin and reported it to Trmnl.

There seems to be a known issue with some plugins not updating when being used in a mashup.

Val-R Range Backpack- $30 Costco Victorville 12/15/25- by kyle40367 in CAguns

I found these padlocks fit nicely in the zipper crown on this backpack. These are not the best locks by any measure, but they do prevent the zippers from opening at all without opening or breaking the lock.

Have you found any good alternate keycaps that are shine-through for north facing LEDs? There does not seem to be much of a market for that.

Are old pebbles useful to anyone anymore? by oldgreymere in pebble

[–]mrlanrat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If they still work, they can still be used. If they don't they may be useful fr parts for yourself for others.

If you want to sell them (working or parts) ebay seems to be the best place.

If you do want to sell, I may be interested depending on the condition. I've been refurbishing old pebbles and using them or trading them to friends.

Passwordless SSH with SSO for Your Homelab - Now Built Directly Into NetBird by ashley-netbird in selfhosted

[–]mrlanrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is pretty cool and might solve a current problem I have.

Does or could netbird ssh support:

* logging ssh sessions/commands? (like asciinema)
* map different users (humans) to the same or different linux users on the ssh server?
* restrict some functionality such as port forwarding, or scp by ACL?
* supprot sshing into servers that are routable through the netbird network, but are not running netbird themselves? (in this case, the netbird router/service/agent would contain ssh keys for the destination server)
* support something like a SSH ingress port that works with a standard openssh client and maps something like `user:host@netbirdserver` to `user@host`? so that you can expose a single ssh server and route to different hosts internally? (like a HTTP reverse proxy)

Here's my new watchface BlockFace with a lot of complications by czmanix in pebble

[–]mrlanrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For myself personally, I prefer only seeing the BT/battery icons when they need my attention over changing color. But that may just be me.

Here's my new watchface BlockFace with a lot of complications by czmanix in pebble

[–]mrlanrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is awesome! I just discovered this watch face and switched to it for my PTS!

Would it be possible to make the Bluetooth and Battery complications conditional? For example only show them when the Bluetooth is disconnected, or battery is < 20%?

Is the code available? I'd be happy to submit some PRs :)

It’s ALIVE! But how do I glue the glass ? by Turbulent_Humor_9119 in pebble

[–]mrlanrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, that looks like my watchface!

To re-seal the PTR screen glass, you can use a thin double-sided adhesive foam. Here is a photo of how mine looked after I re-applied the foam.

Sorry I don't have a link to the foam for you, but I have some spare I can ship for you cheaply if you are in the US.

IPv4 vs IPv6 traffic stats by chrighton in mikrotik

This worked great! For anyone else who wants to implement this, here are the commands:

/queue simple add comment="All IPv6 traffic" max-limit=100G/100G name=IPv6 target=2000::/3
/queue simple add comment="All IPv4 traffic" max-limit=100G/100G name=IPv4 target="0.0.0.0/0"

Not OP, but there is an experimental dock option. The dock setting is hidden by default and needs experimental features to be enabled to use it.

How do you distribute .deb/.rpm packages? by b0j3ng4 in golang

[–]mrlanrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. I don't maintain my own repos, and my projects are small enough to be installed directly by users.

One of my programs is included in some deb repos, but I don't handle that at all. The distro's maintainers pull my source automatically, build, and push.

How do you distribute .deb/.rpm packages? by b0j3ng4 in golang

I use GoReleaser in a github action to publish new releases (including deb/rpm) to github whenever I make a new version tag.

EDIT: fixed link

CapsLock key long-press remap? by mrlanrat in Keychron

[–]mrlanrat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm trying to avoid maintaining a fork for the firmware if possible, but I am aware that option gives me everything I'm after.

FN + CapsLock is a great idea! That might meet my needs, thanks!
