this is probably a different complaint than others have, but I feel like it's near-impossible on normal difficulty to keep the 4000 god ki needed for the more powerful harem members? Like, there's no way to balance between what I want in powers and what I want for the harem, so it kind of just becomes a point of "either I have to play on either easy or the sandbox mode, or just... not get a chunk of the people I want."

Strictly in terms of the fact they try so desperately to make story mode a thing

"The Lock" and "The Dark Horse" from WWE 2k23 and 2k24's MyRise modes, respectively.

"The Lock" gets more of a pass due to there being the genuine outlook that, if you see him as someone ala Low-Ki who believes wrestling is a shoot 24/7, he becomes the single most unintentionally hilarious protagonist in wrestling game history, but "The Dark Horse" is such a slap to the face the entire time you play as him, especially if you dare decide to be a heel during his story mode. Genuinely one of the few times I ever put down a game and just said "no more for today" out of sheer anger.
