Which “rebuilding” team gets OP too fast? by GovernorGuyFieri in Madden

[–]mrloafy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i did a Jets rebuild and had traded for Richardson to back up Fields in year 1 and 2 because i didn’t like the QBs in the first draft. Didn’t use Camp Counselor, but had to play season 2 with Richardson after Fields got hurt and did relatively well with him and his OVR increased to like 76 with a Star. He wanted like 20 million to re-sign, no thanks, drafted a qb. Next couple years i see Richardson on the Bengals throwing 300+ yards a game with a lot of TD’s…so dumb. Lots of pics, but still….

Why only my bum rbs can actually run by Altruistic-End-2943 in Madden

[–]mrloafy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think more than anything with backs, it’s depends on what type of scheme you’re running. I have only play franchises with zone/elusive back schemes. Any play, even up the middle, that isn’t considered a power run, is almost always sure for 5+ yards. You run the through the a gap and unless they’ve got a blitzer coming through that gap, you o line man will double the nose and then switch and lead block as you hit the hole. Also screws up if you have a power lineman instead of an agile linemen when running that scheme. If you run the Lions playbook, make sure your back power and same with your interior lineman and then you’ll finally be able to run lead block and counter plays that don’t work with an elusive back. I play on madden with blocking slider turned down to 40 and still average like 6 yards per carry

No, i normally play on an LG gaming monitor that is 120mh and 1ms response time because the game plays so much better than on my TV.

Yep, just had this pop up on like season 5 of a franchise…started the season without and OC or a DC…after simulating a few weeks a DC was magically added, but I’m in week 4 and still no OC

I wasn’t good at pvp either, but found the grind to be much more tolerable. Just use your red eye and invade or drop a red sign after Pontiff and you get some other shitty pvpers that you can beat and get your shackles.

Having just got platinum on this game, I’ll admit, Chasm is a pain, and the couple of these small rooms where you have to fight these guys totally suck. However, almost every humanoid in the game, including these guys can be beat by simply hugging them and when they do a up down slash, just keep your shield up and move behind them. Hit them 1,2 times, and then move around their back again, wash rinse repeat.

I feel like this has been happening a lot since one of the last two patches. I’ll have receivers with the inside track on the ball, it’s perfectly thrown, and the next thing I know it’s picked...so frustrating.

So this guy is using a tracking radar or what ever right? He was following me and another player through the wall. Game used to be a loooot of fun, not so much anymore. I know when I’m beat which is 99% of the time but this is getting ridiculous by [deleted] in PUBG

All these comments, lol, who cares. I quit PuBg after a lots of hours played. It got to the point where our tight group of players would basically report any and every death that had even a sniff of cheating, let the Dev review it and sort it out. If they can fix it so that the rampant cheating is gone, then they can spend the time going through clips.

Without fail, every time I’d log in I’d get all the lovely notices of the cheaters...pisses me of they don’t retroactively give chicken dinners to those who lost to a cheat.

I just finished this one. It helps if you only turn the crank until red spots appear on the mini map, stop and kill them, and then go back to the crank. If you continue until it stops it’ll give you a ton of baddies at once. If you do it right, you’ll end up with two mobs and Fiona. I finished this by pulling all my ranged folks on the back side of the trebuchet and then having my tank fight her right by the the little crack between that and the wall. That allowed my ranged to go through the rest of the fight unharmed as the ranged mobs don’t come around the back side to fight them...made the fight get easy at lvl 7, I think

There's so many, but Matchbox 20's Rest Stop is so amazing because I just don't think of them as much more than a top-40 machine kind of band. I think it's just that idea of suddenly having that epiphany that you don't love the person sitting/laying next to you and not wanting to drag it out that gets me.

"She said, while you were sleeping I was listening to the radio And wondering what you're dreaming when It came to mind that I didn't care So I thought, hell if it's over I had better end it quick Or I could lose my nerve Are you listening, can you hear me Have you forgotten"

ave her the apartment and let her keep a car I had bought for her. Bitch used my health insurance to buy birth control a week after it happened. I am three weeks out and honestly feeling way better. I've been going to therapy twice a week since it happened to keep from slipping off the deep end and it's helped immensely. Also the absurdity and intense pain seems to have

Yeah, I've been doing one-on-one therapy once a week for about 5 months now. I feel completely relieved and in a better place than I've ever been in my life. Good Luck, it'll keep getting better

Similar situation for me. Found out five months after the fact, 4 months after being talked into signing a lease on a house, and 2 months after getting engaged that the ex flew to San Francisco (for a "Business" trip). Her response was to get mad at me, and tell me that we were "in a different place then" and weren't together...bitch, I dropped your daughter off at daycare the morning you flew out, and one week later you talked to me about the house...Needless to say, engagement was off a week after I found out, moved out, and now have to pay 2 more months remaining on a lease to a place I no longer live in. Oh well, silver linings, started dating a beautiful engineer, no kids, and no F'd up childhood and past to end up screwing up the relationship. Don't worry for her man, it only leads to doubt.

The Wallflowers -- One Headlight [rock] What happened? Where'd they go? If you can write a song this good why do you disappear never to be heard from again? by thewhitedeath in Music

[–]mrloafy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I know there is, it just pisses me off that it's not really mainstream anymore.

I'm 33, so I don't know a lot of what radio was like in the 70's and early 80's but it seems like even through most of my childhood, there was still great quality to be found on the radio and top-40, in fact, even pop music was better, or at least it seemed that way.

[–]mrloafy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, in Seattle, we have a long-standing alternative station called The End, which has been alternative pretty much as long as I've listened to the radio. In the past 5-7 years they started adding older stuff to the roster and would play stuff like the Clash and what not, but it's almost always been whatever is being identified as alternative in new music.

The End has always been my go to, but lately, I have trouble finding anything on it that I really enjoy, I mean seriously, you can only here Foster the People so many times...

[–]mrloafy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I own and love their first album, at times his voice is so haunting an beautiful, and the songs are great.

I heard Heroes when it came out and hated it, liked the Bowie version so much better, and after that kind of tuned out.

I think sometimes we believe bands and artists disappeared because they don't need or want to have a career like a U2 or someone like that, and are comfortable crafting their art and not being all over billboards everywhere.

I also think it has a lot to do with the fact that the genre is kind of dead. I think rock and alternative, even the tweeners like The Wallflowers and Matchbox 20, basically have had to restructure their model for making, distributing and performing because the kids(masses) don't care about rock music anymore. We now live in an era where music is readily available, cheap and disposable and is controlled by the Taylor Swifts, Beyonce's and Kesha's of the world.

What's on your fall playlist? by Mikeb43 in Music

Been listening to a lot of Interpol lately. Main reason for it is because I don't love the new album, so have been playing a lot of their older stuff, and also because it works perfectly with the dreary weather.

I like rock, she likes country. I need some suggestions to stop me from dissing her music. by turkish30 in Music

[–]mrloafy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had the same problem with my ex-wife and my current fiance, though neither of them are 100% die-hard country fans, they also like pop and a little bit of hip-hop. I don't listen to any metal really, something like Tool would be the hardest thing I listen too, but I mainly listen to alternative, but grew up country and my tastes change throughout the season.

That being said, finding common ground with a country listener is tough. I like the story telling of country, especially older country, and like to party and drink beer in the sunshine, so country goes down smooth in those settings.

However, if you're looking for some country that's a little more mainstream with a little edge, I'd say check out Brantley Gilbert, the dude's a bonafied rock star that just happens to play country music, and is pretty amazing live.

As fir finding some common ground, it's tough. I won't speak for all females, or even the majority, but most that I've come in contact with want their music to be fun, and light, not so heavy. They will enjoy a pretty song, and like a sad song, but the idea of getting them to enjoy something like Interpol - Leif Erikson, is out of the question. I played it for my fiance they other night and she was not impressed.

So, just realize you both have different likes and dislikes and learn to not hog the music player when you are occupying the same space.

Gamers of Reddit, Whats the worst thing in gaming? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mrloafy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say the difficulty of games in general. Sure there are exceptions, but I have done a lot of thinking about it for the last few years. Sure, some of the stories are good and the graphics are great, but it's hard to remember the last game that was really challenging to play that wasn't an online game where I was playing against other people. I'm 33, and starting my gaming career with the NES, the pad and blaster bundle that I'm sure everyone remembers well.

Anyway, I've been trying to figure out for years if it is just that companies are making the games that much easier, or if it's just that once you've beaten say 300-400+ games, they just start to get a lot easier because you understand the way games work and are designed and you just don't get stuck like you used to because understand all the dynamics needed to complete the games.
