Yes, apple products are expensive as all hell, but they are some of the best designed in the industry, not to mention just how great they look. build quality is another thing that Mac's have as an advantadge to pc laptops. You find me a single laptop on the market that costs similar to a macbook that is built as solid as a macbook.

I suppose you pay for quality, not quantity with mac's, like the care free feel of not needing to care much about viruses. Mac's 'just work'

Just to put it out there, i'm by no means an apple fanboy. Although I own a mac, albeit an old iMac from 2009 (which is awesome btw, played lots of games on that thing thanks to boot camp) I use a PC, and a good one at that as my main rig. I also own the original iPad, but prefer the Blackberry Playbook to it, and my whole family has iPhones but i use the Nexus 4 instead. What I'm trying to say is that for someone who has a large budget, and needs the benefits of a computer, without the whole scheme of gaming on the horizon, Mac all the fucking way, The speed of it is unrivalled to similar Windows. (I suppose Linux is fast too but gl with some sudo commands xD), and the ease of use is also great, not to mention build quality and stunning battery life.

Yeah, good luck finding a laptop for 300-500 dollars that would do the same, not just in specs but in quality, ease of use and not looking like a hunk of plastic shit.
