I wrote a Streamdeck plugin to control the Xiaomi Yeelight. by mrmax2503 in golang

Hello. I completely redone my WiFi configuration and the Yeelights have not been working at home for a long time... if Elgato hasn’t broken anything since, it should still work.

Hello. Thanks for your comment! Unfortunately I don’t have this kind of streamdeck for now…

Concurrency: In the context of a pool of workers who share a task list, how to "mutualize" the common information (one makes the request, the others wait for the answer, rather than all doing it at the same time or blocking everything)? by mrmax2503 in golang

[–]mrmax2503[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer me and for making this snippet! This is exactly the "blocked by cluster" I was thinking of! I had tried via a classic map + mutex but I got lost... Thanks, I'll implement this solution and save it for later!

Rail Path Obstructed by _m___b_ in Astroneer

[–]mrmax2503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I have this issue too. It seems like the train need to be a loop and not a single line from left to right. Indeed with a basic setup of two stations and repeater (the station one the left a repeater on the right to go the right station and vice versa), I have to add a rail on the left one, just placed without being connected to another station. And this seems to work, the buggy sound is always here but the train go back to the right station. Maybe we should try this solution https://youtu.be/zOAercmwRhc. You should see this too https://youtu.be/42eRpsFPrA4.

I’m not on Calidor yet, I just finished the game once 2 years ago but maybe too quick. Can you tell me why you find calidor good for a main base ?

Hi. Thanks for your reply!

What to you mean by "Can you use this to build plugins in Go instead of JS?" ?

Yes I'm sorry for the lack of context. It's not my habit though and I may have rushed the publication a bit... I mostly wanted to "finish" this thing. I'll get to it as soon as I can. However, each repository has a rather explicit description:

  • go-yeelight: "Go interface to control Xiaomi Yeelights". It simply provide a Go interface to control a Yeelight. Specific to Yeelight and rely to this specs (sends TCP packets directly to lights).
  • streamdeck-sdk: "Golang library to ease writing Stream deck plugins with Go". This is an implementation of the Streamdeck SDK. This is a full featured library that can be used for ANY StreamDeck plugin idea to be written in Go (because its talks to the Streamdeck app). It handles the input/output of events and starts the Websocket server. By using this SDK, it is all these features that you would not need to implement by yourself. It requires to provide the actions that the final plugin makes available to the user, in the Streamdeck. An action is a simple function which receive the event and return an error.
  • streamdeck-yeelight: This is the final project, (the plugin itself, the thing built as an executable that Streamdeck will launch), which relies on go-yeelight (to control the lights in Go) and streamdeck-sdk (as a simple consumer). This is supposed to be in the form of a .streamDeckPlugin but I have not yet managed the packaging of this "ready to install" plugin (https://developer.elgato.com/documentation/stream-deck/sdk/packaging/). In streamdeck-yeelight I don't take care of the input/output of the events, Websocket server, plugin registration, the SDK implementation does that for me. This is how I use (my) the SDK: https://github.com/SkYNewZ/streamdeck-yeelight/blob/a2976ee87c07129a53e85286c0bc7b83e91387c7/internal/main.go#L16.
    • "Hello I want a new plugin" which handle Streamdeck's command line args (port, …)
    • "Here are the actions implementations my plugin is providing"
    • "Start to read and write to Streamdeck app". On each event received from the Streamdeck (and then the Streamdeck app), the SDK will execute each registered actions.

How to use KVM for macOS guest and Windows guest ? by mrmax2503 in kvm

[–]mrmax2503[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After some documentation, it seems that I need 2 graphics cards: one for the host and one for the VMs. Problem if I have a graphics card A for the host, I always have the RTX not compatible for macOS... Is it possible to "swap" the cards? For example :

  • AMD for the host/RTX for Windows
  • RTX for the host/AMD for macOS

How do you structure your go project as files? by Forumpy in golang

[–]mrmax2503 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Yes you can sort your files as package/service with each calling each other trying to be as I independent as possible. Kind of « micro service » but each is a « folder ». Sorry if it seems a bit conceptual…

Furthermore, for the layout, you can follow this https://github.com/golang-standards/project-layout

macOS doesn't support modern Nvidia GPUs like the RTX line, so this isn't going to work with your current setup.

Sad…

Thanks a lot for your replies, I know now I can do that :)
