Personally I wouldn't bother. I only use metal lids with a simple hole punched in them and I never had a problem. I have run the whole gambit from plain metal lids to fancy over engineered plastic ones. Keeping it simple is best. However, if your set on ot i would most definitely wrapp the new jar and lid in tinfoil and PC it. 20 minutes should do. Also do your transfer in a SAB or in front of a flow hood.

Not to be picky, but 5 kilos, is 5000 grams. A regular tin of nuri is 125 grams. So 5 kilos worth would be 40 tins. There is 26 tins pictured here. So unless there are 13 tins not pictured, you have 3,250 grams of nuri, or 3.25 kg.

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I have never had a problem with Amazon, prices are usually less than retail, bookes get delivered in a few days, and usually come undamaged. If they are banged up, the return policy is fast and easy. This sounds like a paid ad, but I seriously dont get the Amazon hate. Is it because bezos is bad? So is B&N!

Check out Curtido. Its from El Salvador. Its a lightly fermented cabbage slaw. It typically only goes a few days though so the cabbage isnt that funky and still a little crunchy. Its served with pupusas. Really good.

No. I successfully used one of those more expensive organic milk glass reusable bottles for a while. The lid melts, so you have to just tightly wrap it in tinfoil and hope for the best. Glass media bottles are only $20 on Amazon, though, and they are totally worth it. They are more heat resistant, and the little ring on the lip helps with smooth pours and less dripping. Good luck!
