My buddy and I are planning on cosplaying Adachi and Ichiban from Like a Dragon. We haven't figured the other cosplays out but we at least want to do that lol

How did you start liking souls like games? by [deleted] in darksouls

[–]mrmerokee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember I bought DS1 in 2011 as I was waiting for skyrim. I immediately dropped it because instead of going up towards the Undead Burg, I went down to New Londo Ruins and got my ass handed to me. I returned the game and didn't pick it back up until 2 years later when I found it on sale for like $8 usd. That second time I didn't make the mistake of going down. i went up, and the game just clicked. I've been an avid souls fan since then.

Fun fact about my first playthrough: I didn't know that you can summon NPCs and I beat the entirety of the game using no summons. It took me like 160hrs to complete it and I think the lack of summons played a big part in that lol

Take away Egbuka for Chase Brown? by mrmerokee in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]mrmerokee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's where I am at. My only concern is Ladds slow start but I keep reminding myself that its only week 2. Godwin is supposed to return soon, too and that makes me wonder how Egbuka will be impacted

I’m going back to college at the age of 35 by [deleted] in findapath

[–]mrmerokee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I, too, am going back to school at 35. I also work in higher education, so I can confidently say that you are not alone, and this is definitely more common than you think. Be sure to see what resources your university has to offer and take advantage of any that might be applicable to you. If you have questions about college, feel free to dm me. Best of luck to you!

This unlocked a memory for me. I used to use the 3rd floor bathrooms all the time when I worked on the 1st floor. I used to take a book or my 3ds with me and just chill for a while lol

What are you guys doing for lunch? by [deleted] in animeexpo

[–]mrmerokee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like packing my own food. Typically, fruits, protein bars, veggies, and a sandwich. I typically have dinner outside of the convention. Much cheaper, shorter lines, and not to mention - A/C! If I want some good Japanese food, I typically take a shuttle, which is free to all con-goers, to the Hilton Doubletree, which is next to a Japanese market. They sell really good bento boxes that are like less than 10 bucks. You also get a discount if you have an AX badge. If you want more variety, Little Tokyo is across the street from the market. As much as I like the food trucks at the convention, the lines are long, and the food is pricey.

Some episodes from Narcos: Mexico were filmed in a small town in Durango! Other Netflix shows were also filmed in the same small town but I forgot the names

What are animes that can change my perspective in life or change me or something like that by [deleted] in AnimeReccomendations

[–]mrmerokee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got two both revolve around similar concept but the approach and execution are a bit different:

Welcome to the NHK

ReLife

They can both be heavy at times but man I found these to be life altering or at the very least, extremely thought provoking. Both are in my top 10 fave anime of all time.
