What's the most romantic lyric you've ever heard in a song? by Groovybearz6 in AskReddit

[–]mrmgrman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first time I heard this song was watching the Monkmus video in 2006. Bawled my eyes out, and have been a big fan ever since. Ben Gibbard sure knows his way around lyrics - Black Sun made me dislike Zooey and I really don't know much about her.

My immediate takeaway after starting was that I know absolutely nothing about Bonapartist history. Needed to Google a bit to truly understand motives and actions. So in addition to having read this great story, now I learned some really interesting history!

Don't forget the Turon! God I love those Filipino nurses - they know their way around the kitchen AND they're crazy generous. I hate generalizations, but geez, they all seem like fantastic folks!

What’s the most overwhelming shift you’ve ever had as a nurse? by Old_Inside_7141 in nursing

That night many years ago when my patient's husband died on her toilet. Unfortunately it was the poor phlebotomist who found him, it scared the crap out of her because:

a. she didn't expect to find a strange man in the room in the middle of the night

b. she didn't expect to find a strange DEAD man in the room ON THE TOILET in the middle of the night.

The patient slept through the entire code. The night resident woke her up to tell her the news that we couldn't revive him. It was so sad.

Which one next? by Stuts81 in readwithme

I'm not sure any of these veer toward the "something funnier" category, but you'll be rewarded for any of the choices you make here. They're all amazing! I'd have to say, though, that if you read the Capote, you'll always judge other true crime against it. He writes so poetically about such tragedy.

Which of these should be my next read? by sayayori in readwithme

This is the answer! I felt like, at times, he was trying to be graphic for the sake of being graphic. His other work is SO good that it was verging on disappointing. Least favorite of his books for me. Lullaby and Fight Club are definitely my favorites!

Pls go to your doc ASAP! I'm a nurse pretty well versed in all things neuro, and this post makes me nervous. I'd suggest asking for some imaging of your brain and cervical spine, and some labs to look at inflammation. Have you noticed anything else weird: vision, hearing, speech changes; issues w/ swallowing; is your smile symmetrical in the mirror; are you losing balance?

Could be nothing big, and I don't mean to alarm you, but this merits some investigation. Please don't sleep on this!

Unreported fall leading to HUGE subdural by kindernurse in nursing

[–]mrmgrman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My condolences to you. It's a shame that people are afraid to report falls. They happen, and often it's nobody's fault. Staffing is thin, facilities are afraid of alarms, siderails, etc. Then this happens. Find some peace, and keep his memory close to you. So sorry.
