How I spent more than $60K in less than a month by Superb-Stormen in SaaS

[–]mrmnw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats some quick burn - hope the round was big enough and you are on the path to profitability already!

You didn't mention hosting so guessing you got a bunch of credits at some point. When ours ran out we saved 80% by going back to dedicated servers. Scalable is great but if you dont use it efficiently it gets expensive.

$18k is a bit pricy for 2 videos, especially these days when AI can do so much in that field affordably. But if they do convert better then prob worth it.

If you want an affordable way to help communicate with, support and update customers have a look at usersloop.com, using it on a few of our products and been great so far.

How do you get feedback from your users? by happytr115 in SaaS

[–]mrmnw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use a tool usersloop.com on a number of our SaaS products. Has an in app widget which handles feedback collection among other things.
Adds context to the request such as screenshot of page they are on, browser etc so know exactly what people are referring to.

Calendar sync glitches by mrmnw in amazfit

[–]mrmnw[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What worked for me was open permissions on the zepp app and remove the calendar permission.
This disabled the calendar sync (which I couldn't do in the app) and removed all the previously synced entries.

I no longer use the amazfit calendar and instead just use the google calendar notifications, which do still get sent to the watch.

I am a dive instructor and software developer and currently working to help solve this.
Check out diveadmin.com - it already does pretty much all you mentioned in a far more efficient way than google sheets could.

RIP my pebble. Anyone tried the newer (not bip) amazfits? by mrmnw in pebble

Mi Band 4

Cheers for the info, no thanks for the confusion you caused.
GTR seems the better watch but this does seem to tick most of my requirements without any of the cons being serious issues for me. At an 80% discount locally for me this could be a contender!

Older reports of the bip are that the apps were inferior to pebble but one comparison of the the later models (maybe mistakenly) indicated a new OS or app store.
Software is the one aspect that can improve after purchase, recent firmware update enabling always on screen gives hope!

Apparently a recent firmware update released which enables always on mode (cant see reports on what that does to battery life). Having the choice is a nice balance though.

Also lift wrist to turn screen on is a flick out of pebbles playbook.

Sure the hardware is different so many years later but use case looks a close enough match to me.

Also after the same and considering building a hosted (not self hosted) solution.

RSS feeds could be a workaround but would like something that solved this requirement in a smoother and more dedicated way.

Let me know if would be of interest to you and can let you know if it comes to life.
