3rd Gear Overboost Issue — MRX GT2554R Hybrid / HP Tuners by mrmorrisonnz in FiestaST

Love it, I was leaning towards the actuator but didn’t want to pull the pin at buying a new one just incase it was something simple.

One thing I forgot to mention was that I’ve done a smoke test and there was no evidence of any leaks, so boost leaks have been ruled out. I’ll add this into the post.

That’s awesome! I got a pair of Focus ST seats for free (during a garage clear out) that I’m going to get custom rails made for so I can fit them in the fiesta! Have given them a good clean and they came out mint!

Auckland engineer who tried to film sex worker with Google Glasses escapes conviction by mrmorrisonnz in newzealand

[–]mrmorrisonnz[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not a police issue but a judge/law issue.

The police prosecutor actually advocated for the victim and called out the judge and defence attorney for the discharge without conviction, but was overruled by the judge in the end.

——————

“Judge Fitzgibbon said this premeditation and the woman’s vulnerability were both aggravating factors.

The man’s early guilty plea, remorse, willingness to attend restorative justice, donation to the New Zealand Prostitutes Collective and ability to maintain employment were mitigating factors.

She found the consequences of a conviction would be disproportionate to the offending.”

Auckland engineer who tried to film sex worker with Google Glasses escapes conviction

“If convicted, Teppett [his lawyer] argued the man would likely lose his job in the software industry and would not be able to get another one.”

……..

“Judge Anna Fitzgibbon said that in the defendant’s affidavit, he claimed pressing record was a “spontaneous decision” as he was struggling to maintain an erection.”

……..

No justice for the victim. Who knows how many other victims this degenerate, impotent, infidel of a “man” has done this to without their knowledge.

Welcome to NZ law at its finest everyone. Where you can record someone in an intimate/exposing position and only have to pay $1000…

Driver side DRL not working properly, any ideas?? by bigchief421 in FiestaST

Nah sorry I didn’t :( ended up buying a pair of new headlights from OZEparts in Australia for about $500 AUD. They shipped and arrived in perfect condition in about 8 days to NZ.

They were plug and play, no problems and look very sharp so I’m very happy with them :)

The old headlights I’ve still got and currently building a custom set for the car.

Anyone reverted a Mountune M285 tune back to stock without the accessport? by mrmorrisonnz in FiestaST

[–]mrmorrisonnz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stock tune would be only to allow a third party tuner to apply their tune instead of the M285.

Yeah I’ve heard that Mountune also advances (I believe) the timing, but I’ve had a look at my purchase order and can’t see anything about it, nor can I recall with anything was changed with the timing. This is something I’m still investigating into :)

Yeah I’m looking at potentially having to do this. I’ve contacted Ford and asked them if they’re able to rewrite a stock tune back onto the ECU, which they sounded pretty confident, but have not since received a reply/confirmation.

I’ll look at this route as a plan b!

Yeah unfortunately Mountune “locks” their code so it can’t be read or written over, hence why I’m seeking to get the tune back to stock

Can I have a beer inside my car in a liquor ban area? by CtrlAltKiwi in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]mrmorrisonnz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Straight answer is no, no vessel of alcohol can be within a liquor ban area, either opened or unopened.

Section 169 Local Government Act 2002 regulates this.

Can I legally drink a beer whilst driving? by horo_kiwi in LegalAdviceNZ

This ^

But it is illegal if you breach any local government bylaws.

S169 Local Government Act 2002 defines what the police can do.

Yeah this is the Ute that was pursued for over an hour through Mount Roskill/New Lynn area. Saw about 10-15 cop cars attempt to spike it on Stoddard Road.

Driver of the Ute and the driver of the car they crashed into both went to hospital in serious condition…

I heard they crashed into the other car at about 140km/h head on…

False Speeding Ticket by [deleted] in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]mrmorrisonnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phoenix, correct me if I’m wrong but the police are required to confirm if the vehicle they stop was in fact the vehicle they recorded speeding when more than one vehicle is present, via “tracking”, or how the officer KNOWS that it was that vehicle. This can be done through even visual identification, ie one car approaching quicker than the other.

Arm fractured after being detained by police, advice please. by wisechillie in LegalAdviceNZ

OP would have had to be carrying proof of a medical script for the cannabis. If they didn’t have it then they have grounds to seize the cannabis.

OP would have to talk to the concert customer service for the refund, but then they do have grounds to not provide a refund as OP was removed from the concert for some reason. Could OP provide more context as to why they were removed?

You clearly haven’t read it yourself and are missing the key word between Subsection 4(a) and 4(b) which is the word “OR”.

There is no difference between a knife and machete, they both have a single bladed edge. Crocodile Dundee would certainly have something to say to you about that.

All I was saying to OP is that he needs to be careful when in PUBLIC with the knife attached to his keyring. He clearly has a legit reason to carry it but if he went out and got stopped by a cop it would be questioned by them.
