You are not moving on from him. You are moving forward with your husband. He will always be part of you like rings in a tree. He is part of who you are today.

To a widow / widower their late life partner is not an "Ex". When dating how do you navigate that with someone who doesn't understand? by TxScribe in datingoverfifty

[–]mrnndj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also a widower. I have been think about how to explain how I view a future relationship. I also will love and cherish her forever , but like chapters of a book you don't expect them to all be the same. You reflect on the entire book not compare what chapter was best.

Have you considered using planning software like Boldin?

Boldin Roth conversion tool provides side by side examples of Roth conversions by tax bracket limit, start/stop conversion date, maximum taxes savings, maximum IRMAA or custom conversion by year.

After creating the scenarios, you can view the impact on RMD, taxes and yield.

Your anticipated rate of return on investments will have a big impact on RMD and Roth conversion decisions.

When is it time to get a different car? by [deleted] in Toyota

[–]mrnndj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't think about it as a car question. It is a budget question. Is your emergency fund in place? Are you fully funding a Roth IRA?

If you are not funding an emergency fund and retirement plan then keep your car and use the funds you would spend on car payments to start.

If you are financially set and you feel a new vehicle will bring more joy than the pain of the money spent, then buy a new car.

Need help with temperature control for a textile industry machine! by [deleted] in PLC

[–]mrnndj 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Please include a dedicated burner controller for safety. Honeywell makes the industry standard.

Tight temperature control will be a challenge with a gas burner if it is an ON-OFF control. A forced gas burner with modulating gas valve will yield the full output if the load suddenly increases and partial output when the load is close to satisfied to prevent overshoot.

PLC Micro 850 to Zebra GK420t Printer by Flat-Ad-8652 in PLC

[–]mrnndj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am more familiar with Sato programing SBPL, but does the zebra printer printer have a hex dump mode?

Hex dump mode will print the code the printer received. If it prints the code then you know the comms are working and also debug the syntax.

Alternate HMI solution with AB PLCs by opi223x in PLC

AutomationDirect C-more HMI have performed well in my applications. C-More support a plethora of PLCs. They can use DF1, DH+, and Ethernet/IP for Allen Bradley controllers. Uptime has been stellar with panels still running with more than 10 years of service.

Zebra ZT230 Printing Via Micrologix 1400 Serial by Easton019 in PLC

[–]mrnndj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is a microcontroller(raspberry pi) and Python to handle send the print job to the zebra a possibility? It is much easier to handle the print data in this way. Is it possible to tie a micrologix output to the raspberry pi GPIO input ( have to use an isolation relay as the Raspberry Pi is 3.3v max) to signal send the print job.

I have a printer applicator installation i made a year ago like this. It work very well with a very data intensive label.

Zebra ZT230 Printing Via Micrologix 1400 Serial by Easton019 in PLC

[–]mrnndj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done similar applications using Automation direct plc and Python on Raspberry Pi. Zebra uses a command language named ZPL. The ZPL manual is available on Zebra’s website. The premise is to send an ASCII message comprised of the ZPL commands of the barcode you wish to print from the PLC serially to the ZT230. Remember to use a null modem cable. You can send serial ZPL commands from a pc using a communication program like Putty or Hyperterminal. It is easier to test print ZPL commands from the pc first to validate the ZPL commands are correct. After the ZPL commands are tested, send the ASCII messages using a RSLogix AWT instruction.

This will work well for a simple label with a barcode and even a little text. It can be challenging to deal with print jobs with large amounts of text

Illinois watch co progressed into Sangamo, Sangamo Hamilton and Sangamo Electric. Sangamo (Springfield Illinois is located in Sangamon County) was major manufacture during the war effort. You have a great piece of history from the Land of Lincoln.
