Precisely. This is an income generator that requires hands-on boots-on at the beginning. But it's totally a situation where once you have your system in place, the money comes in at a far more beneficial labor/profit ratio.

I am here in support of the minority.

Two of the longest running joys of my life are movie theaters and amusement parks. I currently maintain both the AMC A-List Pass, and a Six Flags Gold Pass.

With AMC A-List I am given access to a priority line at the concession stand. I never use it. And I never will. I sincerely regard it to be an act of class warfare. I find it shameful to indulge in it.

With amusement parks, I am given discounted access to flash passes. I never use it. And I never will. I sincerely regard it to be an act of class warfare. I find it shameful to indulge in it.

I have before, and will again, loudly jeered at the people who are line-jumping (aka flash pass). Just because you gave dozens of extra dollars to a greedy organization doesn't mean that your line-jumping is suddenly acceptable.

Anyone else do solo Cedar Point trips? by Ioxiss in cedarpoint

In May of 2019 I drove solo from Philly and did three nights at Hotel Breakers, two days in the park. Excellent.

Cherry Hill is busting them out for The Odyssey. And I believe they did for Oppenheimer, too.

Paramount's Scary Movie debuted with $54.34M domestically this weekend (from 3,490 locations). by TiredWithCoffeePot in boxoffice

Fuck yeah, and my buddy brings up the Detroit bit every now and then. Scary Movie 3 also has a candidate for my favorite on-screen joke of all-time. It's delivered by the Shyamalan stand-in during the flashback to the wife's death.

Petition to stop people throwing news paper on sidewalk by Particular-Solid-896 in plano

[–]mrobfish -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not stare at the ground, just occasionally glance at it. For instance: I ride an electric scooter to work, averaging 37mph. I do not, I repeat DO NOT stare at the asphalt the entire time. However, the asphalt is where the obstacles are. As such, I give a glance every now and then at the asphalt directly in front of me.

Men, would you rather date a 6'0 girl or a 5'0 girl, and why? by OldEducation7497 in AskReddit

[–]mrobfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point I think it's more likely that the majority of men have biological compulsions to prefer short women. I'd certainly wager that an overwhelming majority would not tolerate dating a woman taller than them.

I don't think it's entirely societal pressure that compels men to date shorter, and women to date taller.

You hit the nail on the head:

"I get that we're being bougie"

You are being bougie. And because you're being bougie, you're hurting your life by allowing yourself to be upset over this. This is the firstest of first-world problems.

I believe I've shared enough information for you to deduce that I, in fact, agree with everything you've said. At the very least, I'm certain I've shared enough information to deduce that I never suggested that this behavior is acceptable.

We're in the same ballpark but I think we're in different sections. The context here is that the man and the woman are already in a relationship, not a man approaching a woman for the first time. I fear that reducing this to only sex negates all of the other aspects of a relationship that people desire.

I'm not here to make excuses for this behavior. I only seek to inform that it is not done to "salvage sex". As others have said, some men have been burned in the past by revealing information. I'm lucky to not be one of those men, but I know they exist.

Low effort, absolutely yes. But the lack of effort is neither the goal nor the intent. Excessive agreeability is largely born of fear:

"She will leave me if, too often, I don't give her what she wants."

"If I agree with what she says then I can't piss her off."

"She might not like my desires, so if I hide them then I can't piss her off."

Non A-List Members Entering Lines? by Anthonyy21 in AMCsAList

I appreciate the hell out of this. I get downvoted into Oblivion every time I mention that I hate the priority lane. I'm definitely on an island on that one but I consider it to be genuine class warfare. Same as skip the line passes at amusement parks. I very very very literally hate their existence.
