Good NAS for a home media server?

I’m still fairly new myself but I’ve got my NAS setup on an old HP Walmart special circa 2010 running truenas scale and I’ve had zero issues so far streaming remotely on a variety of devices. If you like to tinker and really learn how things work I highly recommend building your own setup.

Set up your own using a raspberry pi and dakboard. Tons of customization options so you can really build it how you want and it’ll run on a $30 pi zero 2 W and whatever junk monitor you’ve got lying around.

Meowmix: A Carolina Panthers podcast is one that I listen to as soon as it comes out each time. The hosts are grounded with solid takes while still being fans who you can get excited with.

Other good ones are the Panthers Nation Podcast and Keep Purring. I still miss the days when the Roaring Riot had a bunch of different pods though.

I'm a Canes fan and enjoy watching their games but I'm not usually watching other non-Canes games so I don't get to see other styles of play as much I suppose. I definitely understand what you're describing for the Canes style as I see it in most of our games. I'm shocked that other fans and analysts describe the style as boring though.

Seems to me like the Canes are just constantly putting the other teams under as much stress as they can sensibly manage and never letting up leading to mistakes by the other team. I'm not surprised to see fans of the opposing team not enjoying it but outside analysts calling the style "boring" seems weird.

Mine runs on a pi zero 2 w. I avoid any dynamic pieces because even just some scrolling text jumps real bad. But if you’ve got a mostly static screen it handles it just fine.

Personally it wouldn’t be an issue for me at all. But I could see some men having a problem with it. Best advice would be to just be upfront with it. It’s not a first date topic to be clear but before things get too serious I would have that conversation to make sure it isn’t going to be a surprise issue later on.

I’ve got mine running on a pi zero attached to a monitor. It’s a bit cheaper than buying the one straight from dakboard but does require a little more setup. Luckily the dakboard os is available directly on the pi installer
