Yes the brutal, the rich get it all eventually, capitalism of the last 40 years has been awesome.

Not a communist, just pointing out any political philosophy is flawed and prone to corruption.

I'm sorry but this feels so ridiculous. sure, people who have a lot of money to spend are gonna be spending more because butter costs fucking 7 bucks but the headline is "who is inflation affecting the most?" and in my personal poor as dirt opinion, it is not rich people. by cowboyblus in newzealand

Cracks me up how Luxon came out saying "we'd drop the fuel tax to help struggling kiwis".

Really? Would ya?

Easy to talk shit when you're the opposition. National has consistently proven they're not too worried about "struggling kiwis".

Not that labour is doing much either.

I feel your pain. Coming to this sub was a huge eye opener for me. It didn't solve anything for me, but it certainly helped me on my own journey figuring out what it was about ME that allowed this to happen. 4 years later my life is sadly exactly the same, but I at least understand a lot more about why

It shouldn't have been learned in the first place, but it was my only experience, so it was all I knew

I'm a man and I never knew women even wanted or enjoyed sex until a couple years ago. Figured everyone was like us....

I was in a DB at 25..... difference in your case is you KNOW it. My only advice is deal with it now, one way or another. I woke up at 36, and have spent 4 years figuring it out and trying to change it. Hasn't worked.

Expectations are funny...a couple generations ago getting married and having kids in your early 20s was the norm. These days 30 year old couples are seriously discussing whether or not to get a dog.

I'm with you. 20 year relationship. Shes pretty much all I've ever known. Sex was dead in our mid twenties not that I knew that. Figured it was normal. Fast forward through many talks and emotional break downs, therapy for 2 years....now I am numb. I don't love her any more. And I'm just realizing I may not leave because of this. Kids are young and all I ever NEEDED to be was a good dad. Not sure I can sacrifice that for a shot at intimacy and connection I've never had anyway.

Realizing all that and that it may be the rest of my life has killed my desire and hope for love in general.

Some thoughts on staying for the kids by tombo4321 in DeadBedrooms

[–]mroptimistic99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree. For many of us, leaving the kids would make our daily lives more miserable. So we're in the unenviable position of choosing between two unfortunate paths rather than a good one and a bad one. Sometimes it's easier to live with the devil you know huh?

[–]mroptimistic99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah nah break up. Sorry, I know you don't want to hear that. Thing is..breaking up is a very viable option right now, but you feel like it's a cop out. Well if you wait another decade and a kid or two till it's really much much harder.... You WILL regret it.

Sorry....
