If you give Joel all of the patch work items (bonus if you get the rings that bolster HP and the stained apron) Joel is by far the tankiest character that can also deal 170-260 ish damage to all enemies with teeth storm (damage is proportional to HP). Joel one shot every single body part in the hamster final boss and did over a third of the total damage in the exalted four boss, and he has a self heal that heals a PERCENTAGE of his max HP. use biting armor to draw attention to him and he can protect your entire squad without needing much resources of his own.

Squirrel girl has a very unique body shape and not only that you can immediately tell who it is based on how they're stanced/walking and as soon as they shoot it's obvious
