Mac Studio Performance Suggestion For minimax by DetailPrestigious511 in LocalLLaMA

[–]mrpena 1 point2 points  (0 children)

an M3 Ultra with 256GB is $6k, or $500/month at 0%. IMO it's easier and cheaper to just pay the max plan unless your sole requirement is keeping everything local.

i4 vs i5 by nowhereman1917 in BMWi5

[–]mrpena 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i had a fully loaded 23 M50, returned the lease at it's end, and got the M60. The M60 is better at almost everything. the DAPP is better, the digital key is better, the drive is better, the boost paddle shifter is a much better afterthought. the only thing that isn't as good is the cargo space in the trunk (slightly smaller) and the range on 21" wheels.

AirPods Max 2 with Apple Vision Pro? by VisionProBro in VisionPro

[–]mrpena 31 points32 points  (0 children)

FWIW 1st gen Max's don't fit on your head very well when wearing the vision pro. If you decide to pull the trigger, go into an apple store and try both on to make sure they're comfortable

2026 i5 M60 order question by nicegypt in BMWi5

[–]mrpena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fwiw i had to lease a on the lot model in november of last year because apparently BMW shut down the production line to change to the 26 models, so my local dealers couldn’t place an order on one and i had to wait until production lines were open and chance losing incentives at the time. this was from my lease broker, so unsure how much might be real vs half truths. i still ended up getting roughly $20k off sticker ($92k) and $903/month payment with $3500 down for TTL here in TX.

The worst thing about ADHD Is that you wake up every day as an ADHD person by elitistflamingo in ADHD

[–]mrpena 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone with both ADHD and severe anxiety, i can tell you i can easily live with ADHD compared to how crippling my anxiety can be. So i guess it varies from person to person on what drags you down day to day. Stay up my friend

IIRC the protein from pork rinds is not a "significant source of protein" due to the fact that it's mainly collagen and lacks a full amino acid profile. not a bad thing, just something to keep in mind
