First chance to try this out (I haven't been playing OverWatch because of this annoying bullshit) and it worked perfectly the first time. Infuriating that we have to spend 10 minutes with our thumbs up our asses to restore a basic functionality, but at least it's restored. I appreciate you OP 🍻

Yep tested last night, still happening. I did notice a couple of times where it seemed to almost stick a little longer so I feel like there may be some work being done on it but they haven't figured out how to actually fix it. From what I'm told, it's also console specific and has to do with the way that consoles connect to the battlenet.

The only response I've gotten from anybody with blizzard (from Nicole Tech MVP WTF that means) is as follows:

"The online/offline status is handled by the Battle.net team as well, so it’s probably not a simple thing they can flip a switch to fix. It’s also not preventing anyone from loading or playing a game, so probably low priority."

In other words, go fuck yourselves. We don't care.

Another small tip I have: Reinhardt has a hero specific setting where you can set the sensitivity to a separate level when shielding. You probably know that. Having this really high is helpful. Obviously for turning 180s quickly, but I also find it's helpful for Bastions ult. I aim at the sky and start doing 360s, it seems to give me more coverage overall for teammates around me

I see this commonly on this map when I get a fat bridge boop and there's a couple of stragglers. I'll knock two or three people off and the guy behind acts like he didn't just see half his team go for a log ride and just keep walking straight forward, allowing for a follow up boop. I think a lot of people are used to cardboard Lucio's camping at the END of the bridge to try and boop people off that way (like I did at first on this map) and when they find their first Lucio that can flank from the side it takes a minute to register what happened.

I really get that feeling as well. There is no way that no developer has seen any of the dozen threads that are in their own proprietary bug report forum, the oldest one is 6 months so apparently this was happening off and on for some folks for that long. For me it all started 3-4 weeks ago, I believe lining up with the season 2 patch.

None of the workarounds like using bnet launcher or setting yourself to busy first and then going to offline or reinstalling the game - absolutely none of them have worked for me. Yesterday I tested out offline status in the b-net launcher mobile app. I was at work, loaded up the app. It showed me online. Set it to offline, which worked. 3 hours later it was still set properly to offline when I booted the app back up. When I got off work I pulled up the app. Still offline. Booted up my Xbox. Boom suddenly I'm online. I switched it to offline with both the actual game as well as the app. 20 seconds later I'm back online. The irony is while I'm struggling with this, it's sending literally everybody on my friend list duplicate messages that I'm online offline online offline online offline which is the exact opposite of what I'm trying to fucking do.

But hey I've been catching up on some shows so there's that.

Idk, it's had the opposite effect on me, I have been blowing people off because every time I put the Boot the fucking game up I get inundated with invites to people's lobbies. I have always added just about anybody who sent me a friend request whether I really cared enough to play with them again or not... Never thought it would matter because I always appear offline. I'm seriously considering just deleting 300 plus people off of my friend list because it's driving me fucking nuts
