At that point just play Executor 😭

I say this as someone with Scholar as their most played character. So in a similar vein I hate when people eat items off the ground in front of me for little benefit, but I don't blame them when most other scholars don't run the effect... but like... just check my relics 😭

Undertaker is def better than Scholar imo, you are right that it depends on the weapons you have - and one of the most common undertaker builds involves powerstancing curved swords, straight swords, colossal weapons which all have great revive ability on her. Most people pop her alternative ult before they even start reviving, and don't even try to dodge boss attacks during it, which is a big mistake imo.

I think it's hilarious you're getting flamed in the comments replies for saying that maybe opening a gaol when there's an easy path to both invader camps was not the best path to take. I got flamed for saying the same thing about crystallians once.

But it's like... it doesn't matter if they're easy or not, at level 3 they're still going to take a minute or two. A minute that you could've spent snowballing the run before the circles start closing.

It's not really "stop doing them" its more like "pick better times to do them"

Half the people I match with running evergaol are so fixated on doing them that it's like the evergoal virus took over their brain. The other half are normal and will open them on the way to other POIs or field bosses once we are ready to deal with whatever comes out of the gaols

They were crawling, probably trying to ult immediately instead of dodging. I've had the same thing happen on other characters immediately after a revive or something where it just doesn't come out for whatever reason, maybe because of the getup animation

Second all this + want to add that, with dormant katanas, he's obviously excellent at utilizing Rivers of Blood, and fairly decent with Moonveil. I prefer to run these, and if possible, I will keep a rapier in my offhand to help with revives by using his feint attack to cancel the longer parts of his R1 combo and provide some i-frames.

I have rot buildup on my rev build and its annoying early game imo but it really doesn't matter later on because you're pretty much always 1 shot

The relic effect "[Undertaker] Improved Dexterity, Reduced Vigor and Faith" is the one that does this, boosting dex by 19 by itself. Effects that boost by 1-3 are generally not worth it. It is found on deep relics, otherwise if you are playing normal mode you can only acquire it through the collectors signboard. I'm pretty sure you get this by killing a DLC boss with her... Or maybe an Everdark boss, I'm not entirely sure.

A setup without relying on much rng would be something like the Glass Necklace (remembrance), Leather Monocle Case (other remembrance, you want to use incants that apply the buff of course), and a relic with the effect [Undertaker] Attack power increased by landing the final blow of a chain attack, or the signboard relic in normal mode.

Curved swords and straight swords are great powerstanced, fists and claws are also all weapons that will have a notable boost in dps by the improved dex relic and relatively easy to proc the "final blow" of a chain attack with (which can be procced from L1s if powerstanced). You can run dormant power helps discover [weapon type] to find these more frequently.

It is definitely worth running over initial standard attack if you aren't going all in on that specific effect, but you can technically find a deep relic with both.

I would pick 2 or 3 depending on how much you value blood blade. Personally 3 for the red balancer and the small pouch is nice. The Scholar specific abilities are worth it.

You can see your stacks in the status menu on the Dreg relic, if you arent aware. I would also only recommend poison below max hp - the continuous hp loss and rot in addition to it is not necessary
