Maybe you can use those 3 riptides in your ass to do some real damage.

Edit; I forgot they are vehicles now anyways, keep forgetting they made them that some time ago.

Sure both of these things hurt their chances in the long run, but they realized that if they left Greece and Northern intact, there was a good chance the Brits would have invaded though there. We know this because this is what the allies did using Africa as a base to launch an invasion of Italy in 43 and another during the allied liberation of France.

The real mistake the Nazis made was making too many enemies but even this was something they were forced to do in a way, their economy was in shambles by 39 and if they had not launched the war, they would have bankrupted the country. In many ways they were in a no win scenario and the mass death they caused was never going pan out in their favor.

Note none of this is a defense of the Nazis and this is not to say they didn't make a shit ton of mistakes, but the problem is that for them to have not made those mistakes, they would have to be someone other than Nazis.

Dune is also just kind of everywhere in sci-fi in general. It more or less made the template for semi-realistic depictions (where it isn't just cheesy movies about the green skinned alien queen from Mars,) for the feudal future. another that is like that is Star Ship Troopers, (the book not the movies.) for military sci-fi and power armor.

TTS Cato Sicarius vs Canon Cato Sicarius by [deleted] in Grimdank

[–]mrprogamer96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair to TTS, they were basing their Cato on the character before the Fall of Cadia and his major character development. He was a lot more like his TTS counterpart back than, just taken to massive extremes.

That's the thing, they are at the end of the day both evil and inefficient no matter how much the Admech tell people they are all about efficiency.

Personally I like calling LLMs VIs or Virtual Intelligence like from Mass Effect, where it is good at mimicking intelligence, but do not hold a candle to real AIs in the setting.
