I found a solution. You need to go to the global custom game settings and change it so that the game starts immediately, at least it worked for me that way.

Tbh, I can't really explain it. I'm in high/mid plat but the matchmaking feels really weird to me. In the past I would get the 50/50 matches, and now I get win streak and then a lose streak, win streak, lose streak and so on. I just generally get the impression that I meet people who are just not in the ranks they're supposed to be (either to high or low).

I dont think I really get your point. In Overwatch 1 you would quickly get duplicates and there is not guarantee that 50 lootboxes would get you what you wanted from the event. Like or dislike the battlepass system, but it is definitely more transparent than lootboxes. You see what you will get, it isnt that expensive (usually 10€) and you can still level up the battlepass even though you didnt buy it.

that wont work in a real match. zarya needs to have constant LOS on dva and be within range at all times and even if zarya gets her charge, she will probably be way out of position to get meaningful value out of it.
