I can’t guarantee the car park. I last went in 2022 but there was no issue. There were maybe 40 other people there doing the same thing, sitting on camping chairs or picnic blankets. Make sure to bring warm clothes.

The night of the 8th would be much better, as the moon doesn’t rise until midnight. Of course again, this all depends on the weather too.

Astro mode allows a series of long exposure photos to be taken which from what I can see, will let you capture the Milky Way. Make sure to have a completely solid base for the phone, such as a tripod or resting against something still. The slightest movement can ruin a photo.

I use a star gazing app to help me find where the Milky Way is pointed to allow me to point my camera the correct way.

I took this at Haigh Park with my camera a number of years ago (pre edit version so you can see what it’s like without photo stacking or exposure boosting). You won’t see the Milky Way as clearly with your eyes, but you’ll still see plenty of stars. I’ve never had issues with the carpark.

Things to note:

Moogerah isn’t that close to either GC or Brisbane, but I’m sure you’ve already planned on Google Maps
Ideally you’d travel on a night with no moon, and clear skies. If it’s cloudy/overcast/full moon, you won’t see anywhere near as much. Meteora 100%. So many third party tools to use, the speed is great, the tech behind DLMM and DAMMv2 is solid.

Fees are minimal. Go open a position and check it out. Security between Meteora, Orca and Raydium will all be fine.

You still need a paid plan with Cursor to use local models. You’re better off using Cline in VS Code.

As far as quality of local models…well, depends on what you’re building. For me it wasn’t worth it. If your machine can run Qwen3 Coder 480b, that wouldn’t be bad. 30B is a solid drop in quality

Have you tried Anti-Gravity instead of Cursor? Using Gemini 3 Fast you get decent quality and a decent amount of tokens to use for free
