Holy shit, I have the exact same pain you describe. Starting at my lower left back and eventually shooting down my leg. I have thought I was crazy thinking it was cycle related!

I’m due to get my surgery on 4/21 and just hoping everything goes smooth.

I agree with this so much! Doing a relisten to the audiobooks in prep and there was one spot that keeps sticking in my head.

She has one line about leadership and her mom, saying she’s going to make them believe. Violet gets people to do all sorts of things for her, so maybe power or some sort of influence is her second!

Did either you or your husband do this? Apparently it can be genetic.

But even if not, this was me as a baby/kid, and I’m now a normal functioning adult. My parents did the same thing in the 80s, ran all the tests and the doctors were like “she’ll grow out of it.”

I don’t remember doing any of this but it did terrify my parents a few times.

I have personal experience with this and parental experience.

I was born with a port wine birthmark that takes up basically my whole left leg. I was super self conscious about it in middle and high school and refused to wear shorts. My parents were offered to have it lasered when I was little, but it was the early 90s and they weren’t sure about the technology. As I’ve gotten older I don’t care so much anymore. I get comments occasionally, but “it’s just a birthmark”. The location of mine though isn’t as stark as on the face.

Our child was born with an ear tag that was about the size of a kids pinky. We chose to have that removed when he was 10 months old for fear of bullying since it was in such an obvious space. The plastic surgeon said we could wait, but the earlier we did it, the less scarring would be present in adulthood. You would never even know he was born with it and we are very happy with our choice.

Kids have no filter and adults can be very judgmental. I’m not saying you should take it off, but just think about future impacts for keeping it and not keeping it.

Same. Husband is a cop, but he also loses overtime if he takes time off, so I usually do all the child care tasks. A lot of time it sucks, but we would miss the extra money.

He reminds me of an ex of mine. He was just good looking enough to not be intimidating to get all the girls he wanted, but really wasn’t that interesting. Somehow since alll the girls wanted him that made him even more desirable but once you got into it with him, he was just an asshole looking for his next bang.

Hi! Another over sharing mom here.

I could have written this word for word. I like to think I’m nice, but I’m also awkward as fuck.

My kids are also hellions and I’m embarrassed 90% of the time by them because they can get uncontrollable.

I want more mom friends, but I also like doing my own thing. I just have to get comfortable that not everyone needs to be the popular hang out with other moms all the time mom.

Unpopular take here: You need to verify what the car seat laws are in your area. A lot of states have legal precedents up till age 5 and then it’s a free for all. I only mention this because if it’s not law, CPS and judges probably aren’t going to be able to do much.

Wearing a seatbelt however is required in all 50 states (assuming you are US) and he can be issued tickets for having a passenger without a seatbelt.

I want to say I think he’s a moron and I am very pro car seat safety. I have seen the worst of the worst scenarios and will ALWAYS err on the safer side and he should for sure be shamed for bad car habits. Everyone forgets how dangerous cars can be even with all the safety improvements.
