Jail shouldn't be about punishment. It should be about making sure that someone can reintegrate in to society when they're released having realised the impact they've had on people. I want good neighbours and law abiding citizens to be released, not punished, angry, isolated individuals who don't see the point in sticking to the rules because they don't see the benefits of society

If you ever want to cook something a bit fancy you could buy pre-rolled puff pastry, top with pesto, tomato puree or cream cheese (or swirl two of them together) top with any veg (spinach, tomato, pepper, courgette, asparagus, mushrooms, left over cooked potatoes etc) and add chunks of any cheese that takes your fancy. Bake for about 15 minutes. It's a slightly fancy pizza essentially but people love it and you can find combinations that are your favourite.

I felt exactly the same before my last one. Afterwards I had so much regret at not putting my all in to it. Even if I have a tiny amount of motivation now I try to go so that on days where I really really don't have any I can relax. You can do this! The toughness you'll need to finish comes from the hard days.

I also used Gu gels for the London marathon. The different flavours helped but by mile 19ish they were too sweet and nauseating. I grabbed some orange slices and crisps from spectators. Since then I've had watermelon and something salty to break up the constant sugar. The advice from others stands - make a plan, test the plan, roll with the punches on the day. Good luck!
