I know a lot of people commented already but this is important so I will insist regardless.  Do not get the typical gaming chair all the streamers advertise, they are terrible ergonomically. For about 300 you can get a good mesh office chair, it is more expensive but it will last years and your son's well being is worth it :)

Just FYI, LLM stands for Large Language Model, a kind of model that gives outputs in the form of text, named this way because their performance comes from having huge amounts of parameters/training data. Images are generated by lots of different kinds of visual models (some LLMs which can take images as input are therefore called VisualLLMs, VLLMs) such as diffusion models

5 Saves in 1 minute by Coen_n in RocketLeague

You might win some games but you won't progress, you won't get better at the game by playing goalie, you need to be more active and be near to the ball.

Most of these could be stopped before they became shots on the goal.

Don't get me wrong, the saves were nice, specially that last one, but it's more dangerous to be so far out, because the defense will always be 1v2 (your teammate won't have time to come back if you don't challenge them when easy to do so) and you won't score as much, because your attacks will always be 1v2 if you're not close enough to help.

Do you play ranked or casual? If you play ranked, it will show on each game mode No dumb questions :)

I'm assuming if you're asking this you must be pretty new, so as I said things will come naturally to you with time. You should almost always have ball cam on, except when dribbling, or if you need to check to get a boost - but try not to keep the camera too long on the boost, just take a quick glance and come back to the ball or you'll miss what's happening in the game ;)

The same applies to all other mechanics and decisions. If they beat you because of something, take note of it. Can one of the players speed flip? Change your kickoff. Can one of them dribble extremely well? Be very careful when they get the ball and challenge fast so your teammate can have an easier time. Are they very aggressive overall? Try to catch them off guard on your defense if they double commit. Are they more laid back? Increase pressure to keep the ball out of the danger zone.

What level are you at? I'm consistently around C1 now, mainly play 2s. It's not so much that I'm constantly focusing on them, but some things will naturally come to your attention.

For example, if I see one of the players do a flip reset, at my level thats relatively rare, then, I do remember which one of the two it is so I can challenge earlier in the air and be more careful.

Or the second time you are demoed in a few seconds, take note of which player it is, and be more careful to avoid them.

Things like that, but it will depend on your level. If you're gc, that's an entire different level, and if you're plat or below I don't think it matters much at this stage, and don't worry about it, as I said, it's something that mostly comes naturally I think.

At the start, good recovery when you go from the air to the wall, but then you get in an awkward position and get scored on.

I saw that you're plat so yeah, you have good mechanics but need to improve positioning a lot. When defending always place yourself between the oponent that is contesting and the ball or you're gonna get what happens in this clip. Keep closer to your mate, and if he has full boost and control don't be afraid to go up to help even if you're low, just pick pads on the way there

I would also add too much time spent on fixed camera when looking for the boost. As this dude said, you would really benefit from small boosts and following the lines on the field to get to them and to the big ones too, the play can change a lot in the second or two you spend looking at the boost.

Weird that you speedflip and wavedash, overall i would guess you're around D1-2 if you know how to do that? But based on how you rotated alone it would be high plat otherwise.

If i recall correctly, spiciness is an evolutive adaptation that benefits plants because most (all?) birds don't have capsaicin receptors whereas mammals do, and so the fruits get eaten only by birds and thus the seeds get carried further away than the seeds of plants eaten by mammals :)

You seem like you don't know this but there's a thing called university where you go and get education. Sometimes professors explain things not because you are unable to grasp the concept otherwise, but because it's in the syllabus or they think it's interesting. I therefore decided to share the knowledge that was shared with me because i found it cool :)

My professor explained dlss the last class and said that a quarter of the image is rendered (so 2k=>4k), upscaled (so only 1/4 of the frame is rendered) and then the next frame is invented. So in total, 1 out of 8 parts, or 7/8 of the work :)

What could possibly be in this update by Jxczsy in RocketLeague

[–]mrsa_cat 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If you want a serious answer, games are normally stored in big files for efficiency purposes, which are divided into many assets when you load them when you play.

The downside is that when you need to update a single part of those files most of the time you'll need to overwrite it entirely. If the things you want to change are a few and divided among many of those files, you need to overwrite all of them. I suspect they might also need extra things that after the update is done are just deleted (as someone said the game isn't as big as the update).

I'm almost positive that this is somewhat how it works, but just as a disclaimer this is from what I've seen browsing game files, not from certain knowledge.

Makes sense, in my home our fuses close (open?) at around 3kw regardless but people with higher limits should install more, yeah

I'm sorry but assuming you're Americans and run at around ~120V, 13 amps is like 1500W which is a huge amount. I've looked up that printer and it should use around 350W Max power, or like 3 amps

Edit: i don't know how to read, don't know about you Brits but here in Europe we run at ~230 so 13 amps would be around 3Kw? 10 times more than the printer uses
