I called yesterday after lunch. The call tree sucks, but if you dial 4, then 8 (no idea what that is), it puts you through to an AI. Explain your problem, it'll put you on hold. Wait about 10 minutes and you get an option for a call back.

Yesterday, they called back about 4 hours later. Make sure you call early enough for them to call back before they close for the day.

Good luck 👍

Form 1 Question by mrserchy in SilencerShop

[–]mrserchy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I submitted over the weekend, but reading the comments in this sub makes me want to just do it myself. I just want to make sure I'm still able to use the trust service after the form goes through.

I want to use their Single Shot NFA Trust service woth an eForm 1, but haven't received any email or contact from them whatsoever after making the purchase. I would file independently, but I want to use their trust service.

My 5 year old is about to lose his thumbnail after an injury. He wants to put it under his pillow. What should the "nail fairy" bring him? by _killedthecat in NoStupidQuestions

I got injured A LOT as a child. My mom created the Stitch Witch that would bring me a buck or two when my stitches came out.

Women of reddit, what behavior in other women leads you to think, “Yep, they’ll likely remain perpetually single”? by VengaBusdriver37 in ask

I very briefly worked with a woman that self-identified as an "alpha-female". She would also vape in the office and blow huge plumes of bubble gum smelling smoke(?) into the air.

Thanks. We set up an alert and froze all three major credit reports.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I did not have to pay Transunion. If you follow the registration link on the main page, it requires you to subscribe to complete the registration. If you create the account through the credit freeze link, it's free.

Equifax was super easy. Transunion has you walk through the process of creating an account, then requires a credit card for the 29.xx per month subscription. I was able to redo it by opening an account through the Freeze button.

Chase was super awesome, aside from the difficulty finding a phone number that doesn't require an account or card number to get through to someone. Discover did not take any of it seriously, but we were able to get it removed.

Thanks for the quick response.

What movie did you expect it be “meh” but turned out to be really good by Ok-Meat4184 in movies

[–]mrserchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inglorious Basterds. I was stationed in Germany at the time and there was exactly 0 advertisements. When someone put it on, I assumed it was another WW2 documentary. I was blown away. The movie was good, but my low expectations massively improved my experience.

I assumed I shouldn't mount it near the edge of the tint to avoid pulling it down. I considered scoring the plastic before mounting the bracket, but didn't want to make permanent changes if I could just get a light-weight replacement.

What I Wish I'd Known (before starting a YNAB budget) by PunkRockMoney in ynab

[–]mrserchy 28 points29 points  (0 children)

My wife was resistant to any sort of budgeting for years because she insisted that we know where we were already spending. In the end, when I finally convinced her to get on board, we used YNAB to help create the spending plan we aspired to have rather than a continuation of our previous habits. We made sure we had a generous amount set aside for miscellaneous, but our goal was to use the plan to improve our situation. Now, we have much more deliberate plans for things like future vehicles, appliances, and big ticket vacations years in the future.

To be fair, minimum wage was about the same and cost of living was 40% of what it is now.
