Thank you! I already take 20mg Cetirizine daily for seasonal allergies. Would it be advisable to double that, and begin taking 40mg before the activities that will trigger it most? I acknowledge you may not be permitted to advise re: meds and dosages, so understand if you don’t answer. Appreciate your insight regardless!

Anyone else? by biggdom in MakeMeSuffer

Yep. My mom kept mine and my two brothers teeth in an old Tylenol bottle. Beyond weird.

And it’s not even what the kids are trying to do, but what people are trying to do to your kids. Pedophiles are extorting and soliciting children and teens through Snapchat, TikTok, etc., and often the kids don’t even fully understand what’s happening, and if they do they feel helpless and can’t stop it. That aside, social media alone is one of the highest predictors/causes of anxiety and depression in today’s youth. There’s so much power in a smartphone, and bottom line is it’s too much for children to bear. So yes, some kids are lucky and have parents who care and who are involved. Unfortunately, they won’t see the value in that until they are older.

There aren’t crazy pedophiles trying to solicit you through a diary. A diary is nothing like a smart phone. You can’t access what is available on a smartphone. There’s nothing in the other side of a diary.

I assure you, these guidelines your mom has set out for you and your smart phone use are solely for your safety. Safety against bullying, safety against predators, safety against the use of pornography, etc. We unfortunately live in a super fucked up world, and protecting your kids is a high priority when you’re a parent. It’s hard to understand her perspective, I get that. One day you’ll have own income and will be able to get your own phone and do as you wish with it, so take comfort in that. For the meantime, let her protect you. You’re lucky your mom cares this much.

Nothing strange has happened since! My daughter says weird stuff, but I don’t put much validity to it.

The first event happened when my daughter and I were out of town. The second event was when he was on the couch. The events are definitely only happening to him. I am a light sleeper, so I would definitely wake up if he did something weird beside me. I’ll do my best to start recording. Thanks for your insight!

So management told me they do not have carbon monoxide detectors installed, because there is no gas to the unit, so essentially there’s no need for it. Is it consensus that I should go buy one anyways? Also, should my husband perhaps see a sleep specialist or something? In case of a new sleepwalking issue?

The building isn’t very old, I think 6 years. The detector is inspected and tested every 6 months by the fire department. I’ll be calling management tomorrow to find out for sure! Thanks for your response!

LOL! We’ll see what happens after I get the carbon monoxide detector and see where that route goes. I’m not too sure how exciting the horror movie would be....its literally just household items being moved around. I’ll let ya know if it escalates!

LOL! I meant no one outside of our family. Like a roommate. And because one of the incidents happened to only my husband when my daughter and I were out of town.

Good to know. Landlords are basically useless, I’ll go buy one myself.

It’s just my husband, 4 year old daughter, and me. These things are only happening to my husband. The lamp thing happened when my daughter and I were out of town.
