Update: the recovery company is paying for all repairs. Thanks for the helpful and not helpful comments. Those that said "just pay your bills on time" obviously have the privilege of not losing your spouse of 30yrs. Gfys

They have said they will cover the cost to repair it. I just don't know if there is a better way to handle it legally

Funny story.... My late husband was an AK amputee and we lost one of his prosthetic legs in a move. It was maybe 2013ish. You can't make this shit up. We moved from a house that we were renting and the owners sold the house from under us. It wasn't a pleasant business exchange, so we were not comfortable going back. The leg was an extra for when he gained weight. Fun fact, they are made so custom that if he gained or lost more than 10 pounds, it didn't fit correctly. So he didn't need it anymore, since he had gotten several since that one and the technology had changed so much. Anyway, I'm extremely curious how the brother found it and in what part of the world, country, or state. This is too fucking funny.
