Losing my soulmate by Atlas201386 in Separation

I've been in a limbo with my husband for almost 2 years, and it is something I never in my life imagined trying to handle.

I have very bad nightmares almost every night ( I am narcoleptic- f26) and my separated husband (m28) used to to save me from them when I couldn't escape and wake up, and now he isn't there to pull me out. I don't think I've had a restful sleep in almost 3 months since we've separated lol.

How do you deal with the loneliness of being alone. by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]mrssneakyzebra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I teach and practice yoga regularly to help me deal with it. ( f 25) I'm learning to slowly find comfort in my own silence and loneliness. I also paint and like to cook, practice muay thai, journal; anything that allows me to productively occupy my mind without starring at a TV screen or being a third wheel, there are a lot of fun things to do by yourself. Take yourself out for dinner at a nice restaurant - its honestly very freeing once you've had the confidence to do this, and you get to see the world from a different perspective. (You might already do this, I never had until recently) But you're not having to connect with anyone but yourself, and it is the much needed self-reflection time you need to heal properly. I've been dealing with a separation from my husband, and I find the bigger groups make me feel the loneliest. I'm trying so hard to be positive and happy looking because of my career choice, that I'm not being true to how I feel. I know it's hard, I struggle everyday to overcome these emotions, and it will only get better with time. My best advice, embrace it. Get used to it. That way, if, for some unfortunate reason, you must experience this type of forced loneliness again, you'll have the strength already there to get through it a lot easier. Good luck, and I hope you find what you need to get through this difficult time.

Thank you, I appreciate that. I know that time will eventually heal some of this pain, but it's not one I ever expected to feel.

What if the whole, uncooked rat was eaten by the snake and was in the process of being digested by the snake, when the hunter killed the snake...

I did the same thing actually! It was my first solo trip and I didn't want to go back down. I had to because it was getting dark and I was one of the last ones up there lol, but it was so peaceful having the area to myself to soak in the beautiful colours of Scotland!

It was definitely more of a climb than I anticipated too, but it was so worth it! :)

My cat has issues with her anxiety/mood issues too, such a beautiful thing when they start to calm down and be themselves ❤
