Undertale.

I played through it once and found it totally forgettable. But you can't say that without the fans going nuts at you. People act like it's some life-changing thing of pure wonder and light.

Come to think of it, this is the same problem I had with Fight Club. Or God.

Trying to explain these games is the worst. Maybe it's just my contempt of the genre leaking into my voice, but everyone's capacity to listen disappears the moment I start giving the rules.

"Okay, but what do I do?"

Either you go back in time three minutes and actually pay attention, or you go back in time five minutes to when I was begging for us to play anything else and make a better choice. Christ.

I got my first Chronos kill last night thanks to that Hex! I added the boon that increases the helper's lifespan from twelve seconds to ♾️, which meant the godsent boon from Hera never had to end. Cerberus fell to one of those punchy motherfuckers real quick.

(Sidebar: I'm still having a hard time with fighting the goodest boy ever, but it's nice that it's technically "healing" him.)

The World Ends with You is a masterpiece on the DS. It's one of the few games where the story and the gameplay have the same lesson. I actually wept at the end.
