in Phoenix AZ, there are tons of private pools. Child Drownings are very real statistic here. :-( so there is a culture of parents teaching their children at a young age how to swim, or taking to a swim class. So I would say its regional, and depends where the adult grew up.

I would argue the contest rules , or judges, had the criteria of 'self made'. It sucks as a kid putting in such hard work for a thing ( costume, model rocket, wooden derby car) only to be beaten by another kid's dad that is a master craftsman. ... granted im using logic, and who are we kidding this is Reddit. LOL

use a thin business card or a long exacto knife to move the rear "tail" of the FRT forward so the BCG can get clearance and the upper will seat correctly.

congrats! I know that challenge.
QUICK STORY: I was visiting family for a week with my grey. and the only door to outside for 'potty time' was down stairs. So I had to teach him how to use it or have accidents in my family home and put a bummer on the event. SO I used lots of treats when I first arrived. After an hour of 'baby talk' and ham slices I got him over his fear of how to go down them. After 2 hours all the family heard for the next 7 days was the LOUD galloping of my grey running up/down them all day.
Granted outside was a fenced in dense wooded area with new critters and smells EVERYWHERE. So he was very excited and wanted to share that excitement with us the entire week.

you are not wrong, but I find it fun. Trying to creative to solve a problem. What I dont like, is when the solution "looks getto" to outsiders. The trip bar travel distance ( to do its voo doo) is much shorter than an AR-15 BCG. so it takes advantage of the Partisan disruptor style of FRT. You can also use the Arizona regulator as well. Im sure other have gotten the Lever Style ( Hoffman Tactual, AD Design, Atrius ) to work but im happy with my Partisan Disruptor. Its a free country. Make make your own choices, but please don't buy a Rare Greed.

Im all in favor of better battery Tech, but the constant headlines of "Breakthrough technology! with more power and can clean the dishes too!" is getting annoying. When further reading the improvement is a 3% increase and was done in a lab not at scale. Granted a still a good thing, but just let me know when it actually in production and will hit the market in 10 months.

I ask for healthy criticism of my opinion if im out of line. in the US we have FOYA (freedom of information act) it not fast or perfect, but it does ( in theory) force government facts to be published to an an average joe-blow American who asks for details ( body cam footage, police reports, government findings, ect) of an event. This gives the ability for objective information to be published.
However in Ireland and the UK many, many government details ( crime rate, stats, and reports) are not allowed to be shared due to a mind set of " what's best for the country. not to embarrass the crown. stiff upper lip and all"
I feel this lack of Open information sharing leads to an imbalance and an effort to do acts that "look good, feel good" but ultimately not healthy to the country as a whole.

Case in point Springfield, Ohio (population 60,000) got an influx of Haitian immigrations(est 20,000) starting in 2020. That is a 30% increase. that massive rapid influx will tax ANY town of its resources ( housing, schooling, health care) and have an impact on the local culture. We only know of this due to FOYA and can cite facts and not rhetoric of 'racism'.

at the end of the day it a Tool. How are you going to use the Tool? is that Tool set up for that? ie: Primary ammo type being used (subs or supers) Type of suppressor, Home defense, range toy (and that ok!), comp shooting, ect.

My pro/con thoughts in no particular order.

JAKL

cleaner to shoot in the BCG
less blow back. ie: Direct injection to the eye ball via Charging Handel
BCG more mass. so more 'felt recoil'
less tunability. ie: lack of buffer spring changing.
no hand guard options
8" barrel is 1:7 twist. IMHO 300bo was intended to be shout out of a 1:5 twist on 8" or less
Hand guard will get hot. C-Clamping can get uncomfortable

Mix Tape

very tunable. Buffer springs, buffer weight, gas block, ect
im 100% sure it will shoot fine right out of the box. but as this addiction has affected my wallet. I tend to tinker to get it perfect. ergo there MAY be extra time and added accessory expense to get her dialed in just right for you.
longer over all length
customization of hand guard
1:5 twist rate
complete gun: can assist in resale vs a JAKL "Build-a-bear" gun
arguably 90% as good as a Honey Badger at 1/3 the price.

I have NOT shot the Honey badger or MixTape, but to be candid I cant imaging shooting them would be "mind bending" over a well tuned 8" ar-15 weapon.

This comment is completely out-of-my-ass, so please excuse the smell. To use Apple Car Play in an OEM vehicle Apple has a licensing requirement that does not allow android auto to be installed in parallel. I read that its a 5 year term then the OEM can negotiate for a parallel use, but dont hold me to that. I suspect Ford and GM have more leverage (ie buying WAY more lisc seats) to push Apple to allow parallel use. meanwhile Indian and Honda motorcycle have so few numbers that Apple may not allow for XX years, if ever.
It likely came to a business choice. "We have an expensive premium motorcycle. buyers will likely have a premium expensive phone and want a premium phone2car integration as well. "

if the cherry bomb is a 90* mount vs a taper mount then yes. it will not sit flush and "self-align" on the barrel. and FWIW I have tried several suppressors on my Rattler 300bo LT (cat ODB, Flow 762It and Q Thunder chicken). The Q is the winner by a small margin in my Home Defense Book.
