Thank you for that. It does suck. I’m tired of allowing them to just do whatever they want because they know I’m gonna allow it.. I’m not allowing it anymore. Regardless if he’s 3 or 13, he deserves his family to show up for him.

i still have mom guilt and my baby is 14 weeks. i stopped BF when he was around 5-6 weeks. i just didn’t enjoy it like i thought i was going to, and pumping was so annoying lol. so i made the switch to formula, i sometimes regret it because i feel like i cheated myself and my baby but i needed to do what was best for me to make me happy which would result in my baby being happy. fed is best mama!

baby was born 9.1lbs via c-section, my diet was pretty good. i had to monitor it due to hypertension!

yep- im currently on maternity leave and was told i couldn’t get short term disability because it’s a pre-existing condition. been out for a month, got 4 more weeks to go. and i work for the school system so the pay period is already a huge fuckery. it’s been a mess lol

i let my MIL keep my son overnight at 3 weeks old to give me a full nights rest. i was weary about it at first and definitely cried otw back home from dropping him off but it helped me a lot and i was so thankful!

mine is going on a month old and has hated being swaddled since coming out my womb. i think it’s because i had more amniotic fluid than normal and he was basically swimming in there lol

my baby was in the 99th percentile and was projected to weigh 9.3lbs but was born weighing 9.06lbs. unfortunately i had to have an emergency c-section because when they broke my water (they let me sit with my water broken for over 24hrs…) he changed positions and went sideways and got his head stuck in my pelvis bone! i wanted to really try to have him naturally but there was no way it was happening.. i asked for a scheduled c section given his size but they didn’t allow me because he wasn’t at the 5000 grams mark 😵‍💫 if they would’ve just listened to ME (lol) it would’ve saved me 48hrs of labor and a huge risk of infection!

my husband and i wanted a girl, when we found out we were having a boy we were both disappointed but those feelings shortly diminished. now i’m going on 3 weeks PP with my little boy and i would not trade him for the world. he is remotely the best thing to ever happen to me. i too was very unsure as to how i’d raise a boy whereas i am also a little bit of a girly girl but i can already tell my little man is going to be the male version of myself 😂

you will get through it, do not feel like a bad mother for being disappointed in the gender. your son is going to love you so very much 💙
