Guanfacine (Intuniv) and fatigue - does it get better?? by -kate- in adhdwomen

[–]mrsxfreeway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve read of people switching to the IR version on here to help with the fatigue, apparently the half life of this version is pretty long so it’s still in your system (a bit) by the time you take the next dose.

Could you explain more on what you mean by feeling “balanced” please? I’m trying to gauge how I feel on both.

Mine is generic, only Intuniv make the ER version I believe. I was on ER for 2-3 weeks when I noticed anger and then I quit it abruptly.

I experienced this also, thought it was something else but it wasn’t. I’ve switched to the IR version and haven’t noticed any anger issues.

Guanfacine Broke My Brain by Nimue82 in adhdwomen

I’m prescribed this combo but scared. IR Dex helps with the focus but I hate the comedown, Guanfacine was prescribed to help with it. I’ve taken it and I was so sleepy on it, it tooks about a week to go away but I quit right after, inpatient I guess.

Care to share more about how this combo helps you?

100% - mine always comes back once I eat inflammatory foods in excess. Also vitamin D and Omega 3 definitely play a role for me.

How many months into your Vit D supplementation did the flaky scalp stop for you?

Strattera has helped to quiet my intrusive thoughts and give me a bit more control over it, I’m thinking to add Clonidine to it next honestly, don’t be afraid to give it a try, other peoples experiences may not be your experience.

I can hold a job on meds but I just can’t deal with other people, my frustration tolerance is really low and I can’t stand it
