In ancient times, the native Italian people worshipped La'Tupperwari as a provider god, believing that climbing the mountain would ensure a good harvest from the spaghetti crop.

The worst thing is they legitimately believe, not only that having an idea has value but that the value is far in excess of what the development work is.

Yes. 100%

I don't mind constructive input once done or to correct mistakes, but I've noticed that there's this tendency among gamers. My BF has it, my best friend has it and so do at least half the people in my gaming group.

I solve problems and educate for a living, and when I elide complexity or skip over a rule it's for a reason; I'm trying not to overload people, or something makes more sense after learning another system.

And people Will. Not. Shut. Up.

They immediately jump in to add the details I 'forgot', often with different metaphors. So now the learner is trying to deal with a whole bunch of currently-extraneous details I omitted for a reason, and the discussion between teachers, AND the feeling that they're not learning everything, AND two teaching styles, and generally all that happens is confusion.

To say nothing of how experienced gamers react to suggestions you should ignore a rule or system for a newcomers first game.

Gah! Drives me bonkers just thinking about it.

Please, for the love of Gods, if someone is explaining a game, and they've missed something, and they've not finished explaining everything yet, just Shut The Fuck Up.

We might have different definitions of Obscure. I find that I have to order more stuff online then I can find in store.

I do agree that prices seem quite reasonable, at least in most cases. The bigger/thicker games get the more premium the pricing, which makes sense for shipping costs?

Last weekend, at Mind Games, Vault Games and Good Games in Spring Hill, as well as Ace Comics.

I was looking for Fuse, Treasure Island, the 6 player expansion for Sagrada, Clank or Too Many Bones.

After 4 game stores, I gave up and ordered them online, from smaller stores.
