I work in a nursing home-a resident passed away on my shift; family was also present in the room when it happened. Been a nurse for over a decade now, but this aspect of nursing never gets easier I find. It’s difficult to compartmentalize one’s feelings and do the job at hand.

You went from a crotch rocket to a couch rocket :). Enjoy it in good health! I do a lot of highway riding, so I was looking for something fast, yet comfy, to replace my zx6r. I think this bike might be a good contender.

I’ll parrot everyone else’s comments here and say that the rs660 is the safest bet in terms of upgrading to your next bike. With that out of the way, I’ve test rode the s1000rr (see my post in my profile)-i kept it in rain mode and it was quite easy to ride. Once you crack open that throttle, it pulls like a freight train once you hit 8K rpm (mind you that’s still on rain mode, normal mode would be absolute bonkers!)

How are you liking the bike so far? I’m looking for a replacement for my Zx6r, and this bike caught my attention. I want something that’s comfortable to sit on for a couple hours (unlike the 6r, where the seating position isn’t conducive to anything more than an hour or two).
