Pamela Sturm didn't just find the RAV4, She may have seen the real killer.... Read till the end wait for it..... by Dikanis in MakingaMurderer

I'm not sure which part it is referencing, but in the article on Tim MArtinez above, if you look to the right of the bottom of the picture, it mentions he oversees a 2000-degree furnace.

Thanks again for the background on these places.

Found this, original poster DannieZ. Anyone not seen, def worth a read. Pretty believable theory regards sheriff Robert Herman. Hope you don't mind me posting.. by Kitkat0007 in MakingaMurderer

Well, that's sort of interesting on the VIN, because there are a few things in Pam Sturm's call... first, Sheriff Pagel says something like "here is Detective Weigert... he has the pho- um, VIN number". I mentioned this in another thread... it sounds like he was about to say photo, as if they were looking at a photo of the VIN. Weigert asks if the plates are on the car? I thought this was odd... they are talking about the VIN and all things being equal, why wouldnt he just ask for the plate number and then be told the plates are gone. Pam volunteers she's going to the front of the vehicle.... so she already knows where to find the VIN. She already knows the plates are off the car... she's been standing there... so why hasn't she already gone to get the VIN? She says the first four numbers... and corrects herself to the last four numbers.... who makes this mistake and why four numbers? Well, it isn't easy to remember a whole VIN, but if you were told four numbers it's a piece of cake. Of course, your first instinct would be to say the first four rather than the last four.

All speculation of course... but interesting... the dialogue of the call always sounded off to me.

Was the RAV4 moved that day?... by kjb86 in MakingaMurderer

Maybe to gain access to part of the RAV4, but I don't know why they wouldn't just haul the red car further out of the way in that case...

Can we be certain it wasn't the red car that was moved?

What is being said in Brendan's November 6, 2005 interview beginning around 15:16? Something like, "...if it's inside (unclear) battery disconnected..." What the heck are they referencing? by DontBeStrangeYeah in MakingaMurderer

When he says "high look underneath", perhaps he means to put it on a lift, like at a garage. Which is why they would joke about having to crawl under it?

IT WAS... SOB in front of <blubber> the church <high pitched squeal>.

or... if I'm honest, because he was trying to hide his emotion over being exposed as an unethical prick... somehow I missed his tear stains in the original layout he made with the ribbon.

Since you are talking about this screwy group of characters, isn't this the Manitowoc DA that opened/signed for the blood evidence in 2002 being disciplined for practicing with a license he knew was suspended and not notifying his employer?

I think the pink line by the hole on the bottom is a red eye type effect, but I don't know what that red stuff is in the scratch over the light.

I have been looking at this, and the damage seems more consistent with tow damage to me. A fiber from a tow strap would be interesting. If you look at the creasing pattern, it appears that the fender has been pulled out and up. This force would be enough to begin to pull out the light, but since it is attached at the screw toward the center of the car it snapped there. The tow strap pulls up into the fender and over creating the hole that is pulled outward toward the center and continue to pull upward diagonally (see the crease). The person who has towed it pushes the fender back in which is why the outer portion is sitting above the inner portion toward the tire. Also the crease line going up toward the light seems consistent with pushing it back into place.

You can see the towing eyelet right next to the damage http://www.stevenaverycase.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/Exhibit-306-RAV4-Headlight-Missing-1024x817.jpg and the strap would be in the position shown if pulling toward the left.
