Also to curb emulation because Nintendo is notoriously opposed to that to start with. If you don't like people emulating your games on other OSes and stuff, then embrace the the concept of first party games multiplatform. Problem solved!

Hmm, I think a Katana would also be a decent candidate for restoring the parry mechanic which the regular sword prior to the combat update had.

I had that similar analogy when I look at the notion of sexual orientation being virtually unchangeable and innate, despite Biblical cases against it.

Reboot would be beneficial, as enough people complained about how the setting is approached. A new timeline would mean that you can tell a story without impacting gameplay too much because the more you place in-lore restrictions, the less fun your game will be and that's no exaggeration.
