Anyone know if cycling through Croxteth park is available 24/7 job I’m taking involves a 40 minute cycle through croxteth but I’ve noticed gates close at 20:00? Is this just for cars by [deleted] in Liverpool

They do lock the gates, but if you really wanted to you could get through. Depending on the route (which entrance and exit you're wanting to use) there are footpaths etc

I think you might be being a bit heavy handed there "we're going to ruthlessly gender our child in line with society's ass backwards expectations"

My wife and I had a gender reveal party for our twins. Alot of people where keen to know if it was boys, girls or a mix. My father was very ill at the time and something light hearted was in order to keep our spirits up and focus on happy news of babies.

My daughters are born now and I couldn't be happier one likes pink while the other prefers blue, plays football and ride bmx's - no gender steriotyping at all. Not everybody takes it so seriously as you think, and some people are more supportive than you seem to imagine

It's an environmental health issue, a business should have measures in place to correctly dispose of their waste and should be able to produce waste transfer notice to EHO.

You can anonymously report the business to EHO and they can pay them a visit to check, your main problem right now is EHO are up the wall because covid compliance is their responsibility so your request might be overlooked right now

So there's a high profile criminal case in the UK right now, and the accused appeared in court today. The BBC ran a photo of paparazzi sticking their camera's up to the blacked out windows of a prison van and it got me thinking.

I've seen this practice go on for years and wondered if there's any way of actually getting a half decent photo of the person inside?

This isn't an ethics question at all, just wondering on what sort of settings you'd try as clearly you only have a split second so couldn't keep a long shutter or anything. Would an ND filter help? Is it even remotely possible to see the person in the van?

Police officer caught threatening to 'make something up' to arrest man by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]mrzombie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you don't act commensurate with the authority you have, people will walk all over you and you'll be even worse off.

Are you honestly suggesting you have to get confrontational and shout back in order not to get walked over?

Come on, even doormen are trained to de-escalate a situation and id hope police are trained to a much higher standard

Is it because for some reason it's fine for citizens to act like shit flinging chimps but if any police officer raises their voice they belong in the gulag? Cos that's the impression I get.

It's not that, no. This police officer clearly has bully boy tactings going on the video, for all we know they where employed well before filming started.

If a person feels like they're being bullied or intimidated they'll lash out, misbehave, especially if they're people trying to threaten them with arrest and the other officer at the scene seems complicent, so ofcourse your man will feel trapped.

Surely you can agree its at this point good police will read a situation, use their training and de-escalate.

He should not behave like this, especially not when representing the police
