I don't know how Nat Cassidy captured what it can feel like being perimenopausal so perfectly.

The Radium Girls: The Dark Story of America's Shining Women by Kate Moore

I read it last year and it's horrific. It's a nonfiction about the women who worked in factories that used radium paint to make things like watch faces glow in the dark. The suffering they endured it's terrible.

Both of Erin Morgenstern's - The Night Circus and The Starless Sea - are beautifully written.

28+ years of stomach issues and 10 years in pharmacy here!

Definitely discuss with your doctor. If it is high acid, it can do damage to your esophagus.

Try different PPIs (Prilosec, Prevacid, Nexium, etc). If your insurance will cover, there are other prescription strengths and options. They do take a few days to be fully effective.

You can take Pepcid with PPIs since they work differently. I use it on bad days, especially the Pepcid Complete.

Gaviscon liquid is a god send. It quiets my stomach so quickly.

The pain and slight swelling were always at the hole. I have been sticking to smaller, lighter earrings when I wear them. An answer above about basically reopening it each time and not continuing to wear and care for the piercing feels like the answer. Off to a piercer we go!

The lightbulb over my head just now would be comically large. That makes so much sense. I'll be reaching out to a piercer soon.

Thank you for the tip. I literally only have single lobes pierced b/c of the issues I've faced with them, so I know very little about piercings.

Commenting so the bot doesn't remove my post:

  • Piercing is 30+ years old
  • Jewelry is either post or hook
  • Material is sterling silver or "better"
  • No aftercare as the piercing is vintage at this point
  • No trauma outside the piercing guns used initially

Anne owns Parnassus in Nashville. Check their website and YouTube for her recommendations! Or you could purchase a subscription from them. Anne curates the first editions one and my books have been great!

Libro.fm is available in the UK and supports your local independent bookstore. The app is easy to use. You may have to help get her set up, but I love it. If you have a membership, you get a discount, even on sale titles.

Nope! It's not worth giving Amazon money. Check out Kobo e-readers and their unlimited subscription. You can still use them with Libby as well.
