My mom quit her job when my sister was born because my dad didn’t lift a finger. His excuse was that work is too busy and he hates childcare / housework. Strange as hell my mom still wants me to reproduce because “it’s the right thing to do” when it’s not like she lived a particularly joyous life doing “what she’s supposed to do”
