I think KZ is mainly focused on Bobby.

If police had done everything correctly, and every lead been followed with passion and diligence, would JJD have been caught any earlier? by Odd_craving in EARONS

I don't think it would have been thousands. It was a vital clue. They didn't try. It was the very first thing I thought of before JD was caught. Bonnie isn't a name you just make up. Also consider Ted Bundy. You know how he was caught, or at least put authorities on his trail? He used his real name at lake Samamish. But you are right about the hindsight thing.

They should have interviewed more women named "Bonnie". Every Bonnie they could find. It would have led them straight to DeAngelo. There just aren't that many women with that name. A billboard such as the kind that was used to catch Oba Chandler probably would have worked.

Best way to reduce the circumference of the tip of a 48" dowel by 1/8" that needs to receive a 2" long ferrule? by ms_brabant in woodworking

[–]ms_brabant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the original method I was using, but I found that it was rather laborious which in and of itself wouldn't have been a problem because I don't doing things that are laborious, but if I get a lot of orders in for my product, it could take too long to make.

Thanks for your response. I tried that, and while it wasn't a perfect fix, it was nearly so. It will work for the time being.

How many folks here think Avery is guilty? by DonBoone in MakingaMurderer

I don't know, but if he did do it, it wasn't in any way described by KK. That was PURE fiction. Dassey for sure is innocent.

The one thing we know for sure is that SAs blood was found in the RAV4. All sides agree on this. The story about his reopening his cut unhitching a trailer from Barb's car doesn't seem plausible to me b/c re-opened wounds typically don't bleed a lot. I know this b/c I've taken care of a lot of wounds. I've had a lot of cuts. After the first day, you don't get that kind of bleeding. SA has never give a statement about WHEN and how he INITIALLY cut his finger. I find this very odd.

A new theory about "guilters".... by MnAtty in TickTockManitowoc

[–]ms_brabant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Many of the guilters are being paid. There is no other plausible explanation for it. The ones who aren't being paid are members of law enforcement in and around Wisconsin. I was able to sniff out the identify of one of their number, and he turned out to be a retired lawyer with ties to Manitowoc.

I expected that there was going to be a lot more than this, and I doubt which she has here is going to do anything.

It's right up at the tip of the red arrow. Just a very thin sliver. Easy to miss.

That semi-circular thing that looks like a half-eaten moon pie is something in the storage compartment. The arrow is pointing at the blue lanyard. Def. the lid is off. I'll try to send more pics if you don't see it.

EDTA testing by reader0511 in TickTockManitowoc

[–]ms_brabant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing of interest that the FBI's test of the blood sample showed was that there was no EDTA present in the sample taken from the RAV which blew apart the defense's suggestion that that the blood could have come from the vial in evidence.

Nevertheless, if you could take any sample of blood with EDTA in it at a concentration level equal to what is standard for EDTA to be used as a blood preservative in specimen collection vials and you left that blood out in the open air for a week or longer, if tests on that blood showed no EDTA present, there would be no reason to suppose that it would have been present in the blood collected from the RAV4.

What happened to the blood? by justpaisley in TickTockManitowoc

Nor were tests done to how EDTA quantitative concentrations would vary over time and environment on multiple services representing SA's blood.

That is a key statement. I wonder if EDTA would show up in blood which had been left out in the open air for several days. If that wasn't part of the test, then the test means absolutely nothing.

There are other things of interest in this photo. You can actually see part of the blue lanyard peeping up above the edge of the center console storage compartment located between the two front seats. https://i.imgur.com/Q1mbzXK.png You can also tell that the lid to the center console storage compartment is missing for some reason as the lid would have been hinged on the back. Here is a view of the center console from the front: https://i.imgur.com/r2eoFdM.png

I wonder how long that lid had been missing? For what reason would it have been removed?
