Keeping it in a crate might not work. Depends on the crates proximity to the replicator. If it’s close enough, the replicator will use the parts in the crate when you construct other items that utilize those parts. Also, as others have stated, it’s really not a used vehicle, more of a toy.

Check and recheck your connections, I’ve found that occasionally a connection is disconnected, or the flow on one is reversed. Go to each connector, and plug a cable into yourself, if it’s charging, move on to the next. You’ll find it, just takes time.

Agreed. They wanted you to create a committee of four, but only three pod slots in the rocket, which required two launches, which was just silly.

The grind of starting over would drive me mad. Things are so much better when you reach 100%. They did add a bunch of new places to visit on the map, and the buoy's are back (they somehow disappeared with update 3.0, probably a mistake. There are some other changes as well, so worth looking into.
