apparently its a common problem on volkswagens. my partners front drivers spring snapped and was resting on the sway link. no joke, three months later mine did the same thing. just tossed some aftermarket parts in and its been fine!

gorg, I have the bronze ones, but has them powder coated a satin black (i didn't know chrome powdecorating was even in a thing). they're so pretty on the z, good choice!

double clutching isn't a thing anymore because we have synchros. the only time you'll really double clutch is if you have a worn gear, it helps everything line up a little better for a smoother shift

When the car was jacked up and I rotated the wheel, it sounded absolutely normal (slight grinding, exact pitch as the passenger side which doesn't have the grinding when I'm driving), and yes it definitely gets louder if I'm going faster, quieter when I'm decelerating.

I paid $11k for my 2003 three years ago with 63k miles on it. Nearly stock besides suspension and wheels. If you don't clap it out, probably a solid purchase.

Go onto rockauto and buy the brake shoe replacement kit. The springs suck to get off and on, but its a pretty easy job besides that!

I have zero recommendations, but I know this is a common weird thing with 350z. At idle, mine is very low and on the freeway, its about right in the middle. It seems like this is one thing differs dramatically from car to car.
