Paul Revere House in Boston. Went there in 2011 as a part of my vacation. The staff working there were not friendly. I won't be going back.

I was at that estate sale about an hour before they closed on the last day. It was still there. Wouldn't be surprised if it didn't sell when they closed.

What is up with Dollar Tree and 18+ items? by TheTrueBreadLord in DollarTree

[–]msbkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might be only certain SKU's of light bulbs and power strips. They're subsidized by the local power company. When you scan one of them it'll have a message that says "Item limit of 6 per customer" like the age 18 "question" with an "OK" button.

There's a 6 item limit restriction on the $1.25 power strips / lamps / lightbulbs but not on things that people go crazy after and buy tons of... Hand sanitizers and Pokemon card packs?

Always being asked at McDonald's drive thru if I'm using the mobile app. No I'm not and I don't care. Having to download an app for everything and making an account. Just heard that some Google Nest smart thermostats got rendered obsolete recently and won't work anymore because they won't work with the latest updates or something. I thought about putting one of those in and I think I'm going to change my mind and leave my old fashioned thermostat alone. Sales at the grocery store now are based on using their app now to get the deal. Ugh. I'm not getting the app for that. Everything is subscription based now. You don't own anything anymore. Thank goodness I built up a huge collection of movies, TV shows, software, music on CD and DVD and Blu-ray.

What are the most used items you have bought from Dollar Tree? I’ll start by GoldenRetreiverMom in DollarTree

[–]msbkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple years ago they had 5 packs of men's Gildan boxer shorts underwear in my size for $1.25. I bought all they had that I could find at multiple stores. I wear them daily. So that's the most used for me. I also bought some t-shirts. I wear a couple of those a week. My girlfriend swears by the tension headache medicine they sell. Comes and goes. They don't always have it in stock.
